Hi, during summer of code I wrote part of upstream integration for the BS it works by parsing _upstream file located in package directory _upstream looks like this: <upstream> <source> <file archive='tar' compress='gzip'>mytarball.tgz</file> <svn> <destdir>common</destdir> <url>https://server/path</url> </svn> <exclude>somefile</exclude> <exclude>anotherfile</exclude> </source> <source> <file archive='tar' compress='gzip'>myothertarball.tgz</file> <cvs> <cvsroot>cvs.example.com</cvsroot> <path>abc/def</path> <user>someuser</user> <password>pass</password> <branch>REL_1_0</branch> </cvs> </source> </upstream> The question is - where to integrate this? [opensuse-buildservice] Build issues on Fedora and Mandriva

Is anyone else having issues building on Fedora and Mandriva? I'm getting kernel panics or no log file. See below for more details. [opensuse-buildservice] x86_64 build issues

I'm having difficulty building on the x86_64 systems, for some reason it doesn't want to accept the following statement: %ifarch x86_64 %files -n lib%{name} %defattr(-,root,root,0755) %{prefix}/lib64/ %endif I get the following error: /var/tmp/build-root-bongo/usr/lib/libbongostreamio.so.0: file format elf64-x86-64 /var/tmp/build-root-bongo/usr/lib/libbongostreamio.so.0: should be in */lib64 error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.46374 (%install) RPM build errors: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.46374 (%install) mount: can't find / in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab md: stopping all md devices. System halted. I know it may sound like a dumb question, but.... Is it telling me to remove %{prefix}/lib64 and replace it with */lib64? I don't have a 64bit machine so I'm not entirely sure on the differences between architecture filesystem layouts. Hello, usually whenever I get a reply I get it twice. Could be done one of the following to fix that? a) enter the mailing-list address in reply-to field or b) configure the mailinglist daemon so, that it does not send an e-mail to a person, whose email is already in CC or TO field? Option b is better I think. P.S. [opensuse-buildservice] Failed to add repository from build service

Hello, I failed to add OpenSUSE build service repositories to two different OpenSUSE 10.2 servers. repositories are "home:dstoecker" and "science" Attached is a y2log I tried with following URL ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/dstoecker/openSUSE_10.2 It seems there are some problems with the key file. I had no trouble to add the same source on my desktop system with OpenSUSE10.2. The only difference is that the 2 servers have no desktop system installed and I used yast commandline version (thought there should be no difference between GUI and commandline version, shouldn't it). The question are: - is that a build-service problem - is this an yast problem I should report for openSUSE10.2 Additional note: Had no problem on a 10.1 server. Hello, does BuildService have translation support? For the pavuk package it seems I fight an endless fight to get the correct translations into the final rpm. This means to have the spec-file, the desktop files and any other texts translated. For the Suse packages usually the translation in spec and desktop-files disappear in each distribution. It seems there are different repositories for different types of texts and ... I know the KDE way of collector scripts to collect translatable strings and update the text files, when the strings have been translated in the .po text files. This is a really nice system I think. I would love to see such things be integrated in the build service as well for serveral reasons: a) a RPM could contain the translation files and thus be complete b) the upstream authors (which are usually not informed of translation fixes [or patches at all BTW]) could access that data easily and integrate it into their source repositories c) all at on one place makes it easier to handle. Implementing this would require heavy changes to the current infrastructure I think (e.g. special translation user support), but it would be worth the effort in the long term. Anything planned in this direction? P.S. Not to forget the translation of the build service texts themself (package descriptions, ...). [opensuse-buildservice] binutils openSUSE:Factory - error: bad date in %changelog

Hi, in my Project "CrossToolchain:sh4/cross-sh4-binutils", I have only a link to "openSUSE:Factory/binutils". I build these binutils for the following build repositories: - openSUSE_10.2 + openSUSE_Factory + SUSE_Linux_10.1, which succeed - SUSE_Linux_10.0, which fails, but with the error: "error: bad date in %changelog: Wed Oct 16 1996 florian(a)suse.de" The problem, if any, must be in "openSUSE:Factory/binutils/cross-sparc-binutils.changes". What makes me wonder is why the problem only occurs in the "SUSE_Linux_10.0" repository. @Adrian: any Idea, why the other repositories work?
