Sorry, let me clarify...
I'm using a local build service on my own server, and that is the repo I want.
I think that I should create a vhost for that.

Good day!
Where should I point the URLs to access the repositories
(/srv/obs/build/home\:Admin/openSUSE_10.3/[i586,x86_64])?
It shows api.opensuse.org and download.opensuse.org instead my server address...

Hello,
I've seen that many libraries from games:libs are actually links to the equivalent of openSUSE:Factory.
As this helps us always having the latest of the lib available in games:libs, it also imposes a big risk of instability on older products. So for the moment, SDL_ttf for example does not build for older Distros (SUSE 10.0 for example) because of missing BuildRequires.
Of course they can all be adjusted in the Project-Config of SUSE:10.0. But is this what we want? Do we want to offer games:* in a 'stable and tested' way or do we want to offer whatever bleeding edge we get in Factory?
I'm actually in favour of the stable part. The ones that want factory, will likely go for installing factory.
Comments are highly appreciated.

Hello,
I'm trying to build gbrainy package[1] on Fedora 7 and Fedora 8 (it
builds correctly on OpenSuse). I get the following error:
"nothing provides glade-sharp2, nothing provides gnome-sharp2"
It looks like the substitutes for these packages should be added for
Fedora 7 and Fedora 8.
Any suggestion on how to fix this?
Thanks,

Hi,
Following http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service_Tutorial#Create_Patterns
, I'm trying to create some patterns (`osc meta -e mattern') for the
server:php project. My goal is to
- create a pattern, say PHP5, that installs php5 packages from the
correstonding "base distro" repository, eg. when on 10.2, it would
install from download.o.o/repositories/server:/php/openSUSE_10.2/
- create a pattern Apache2_and_PHP5, that installs php5 packages built
against the Apache project, that is install from
software.o.o/repositories/server:/php/server_apache_openSUSE_10.2/
_and_ from software.o.o/repositories/Apache/openSUSE_10.2/
- likewise for the server:database builds and the not yet present
server:database + Apache combined builds
My problem is that I don't know how to restrict a pattern to just some
build targets. I created an Apache2_and_PHP5 pattern, but the resulting
Apache2_and_PHP5.ymp files of course show up everywhere. I'd like to
have different patterns with different descriptions for different build
combinations.
thanks,
Michal

Hi,
the tips and tricks page recommends to report expansion errors to this
email address.
I am trying to compile project "home:trautm" for Feodora 8 and get the
following expansion error:
have choice for text-www-browser needed by docbook-utils: lynx elinks
w3m
I don't need a text-www-browser, so I don't care which one is chosen.
kind regards,
Martin

I've recently run into a problem.
I updated my specfile for an updated version of the upstream module.
The only changes I made were to the version info, and I scheduled a
rebuild, which appeared to work. However, only the src rpm got built.
Eventually, I tracked it down to %flavors_to_build is now, somehow, empty.
I am using the opensuse 10.3 updated repo.
I do depend on kernel-source (which provides the appropriate rpm smarts):
BuildRequires: kernel-source procps module-init-tools
and I am including the appropriate macro:
%suse_kernel_module_package kdump um
In %build I have this:
echo "Building Flavors: %flavors_to_build"
and in the build log I see:
+ echo 'Building Flavors: '
Building Flavors:
The kernel-source package being installed by the build service is:
installing kernel-source-2.6.22.13-0.3
which is the same that I have at home.
The same specfile (via rpmbuild -ba ...) works fine at home.
Can anybody tell me what's going on?

Hi.
Suggested package updates:
Name Current New Repos
----------------------------------------------------------
python-qt4 4.3 4.3.3 standard, devel:languages:python
python-sip 4.7 4.7.3 standard, devel:languages:python
eric 4.0.1 4.0.3 standard
gajim 0.11.1 0.11.4 server:messaging
gpsd 2.34 2.35 Application:Geo
lyx 1.5.1 1.5.2 standard, KDE:Backports
ntfsprogs 1.13 2.0.0 standard, filesystems
BTW:
Which mailing list is best for reporting outdated packages?
Where can I know why some packages are in more than one repo?
Why standard repo is so poor and I have to use gazillion of BS repos?
