Good!

KDE uses client side font rendering via fontconfig/freetype and
/usr/share/fonts as well as /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts is in
/etc/fonts/fonts.conf since quite some time. So it doesn't matter,
which font paths are configured in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Stefan

Hi,
I accidentally created a toplevel project "kvrd" instead of creating
it in home:LenzGr - can somebody please remove it? I don't seem to be
able to do that myself... Thanks!
Bye,

Hmm ... this should not happen. How did you update to X.Org 7? Which
packages did you install from which repository? I recommend to simply
install all packages of
SUSE 10.1:
http://software.opensuse.org/download/xorg7/Java_Sun-Java-1.5_SUSE_Linux_10…
Factory:
http://software.opensuse.org/download/xorg7/SUSE_Factory/

sax2/Factory already uses /usr/share/fonts, sax2/10.1 still uses
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts. BTW, reconfiguration with sax2 should not
have been required, since xorg.conf is already patched in %post of
xorg-x11-server package to use the new font path.

I cannot recommend to do so. Did you run SuSEconfig (--module fonts)
after the packages update?

Sounds like a completely messed up font setup.

Stefan

I'm trying to build a new package, multisync-gui which requires -devel
packages from the OpenSync repo. When I add those packages to
BuildRequires I get an expansion error.
Is it possible to utilise those packages without linking them from the
OpenSync repo into mine?

Hi all
Following is the error on the latest build. Any suggestions on how to solve it?
/usr/bin/install -c -m 644 'gcompizthemer.desktop'
'/var/tmp/compiz-quinncvs_060804-build/usr/share/applications//gcompizthemer.desktop'
/usr/bin/update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
/usr/bin/update-mime-database: I don't have write permission on /usr/share/mime.
Try rerunning me as root.

Solved by adding "--disable-mime-update --disable-update-desktop" to
./configure.
Thanks

Hi,
I've finally bitten the bullet and started building some of my RPMs
using the build service. Great job! I am very impressed, even though
it took me a bit to figure out how to use the web interface :)
Unfortunately one of my packages failed to build, but just on AMD64 -
the last message in the build log is:
http://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log?package=mercurial&reposito…
[SNIP]
build02 started "build mercurial.spec" at Wed Aug 2 17:44:53 CEST 2006.
[...]
installing filesystem-10.1-5
error: unpacking of archive failed on file /proc: cpio: chown failed -
Read-only file system
[SNIP]
Is that a problem with that particular build host?
I wonder if triggering a rebuild would fix this. Is there a way to just
rebuild on a certain architecture? It seems like one can only trigger
rebuilds by Repository currently, but that would also rebuild the i586
package, which actually built fine already.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Bye,
LenZ

Hi builders,
we're now using XEN for building on some of our build clients.
If anything looks suspicious to you please drop me a mail. I
already had to fix one thing: builds for factory didn't work
anymore because of a missing "libvolume_id" preinstall.
Cheers,
Michael.
