suse 7.3 xemacs(mule) printing problem

How to tweak xemacs to print text files (including Japanese text)? My Suse 7.3 (german, professional) xemacs with Japanese support sends the text to the apsfilter but a2ps then fails. Sending euc encoded files directly to a2ps produces bakemoji, so my a2ps seems not to support Japanese. Is there a simpler solution than replacing a2ps with a patched version (as in http://www.on.cs.keio.ac.jp/~yasu/jp_a2ps.html) when I have all Japanese packages from Suse 7.3 (german, professional, dvd) installed? Also, there seems to be some unrelated encoding problem (see the end of this memo) that makes a2ps think a shifted-jis encoded file was sent to it instead of the normal euc encoded one (that is specified in xemacs). Printing Japanese html pages from netscape works fine, and gs can print latex'ed Japanese files fine. CJK-version of SuSE 8.0?

Hebrew fonts

Dear all, I need to enable hebrew writing on my Suse Linux. I succeeded to install the hebrew fonts. I can read hebrew text, however, I don't succeed to write in hebrew. When I change the keyboard fonts and try to write, I just get girbbish on the screen. I'd appreciate and I'd be grateful for any assistance. Regards, Itzhak

CJK Latex under SUSE 8.0

Kiten: a new interface to Japanese, EDICT-like dictionaries

There is a new interface available for Japanese dictionaries in the format of Jim Breen's Japanese/English EDICT. FYI: Printing CJK fonts in KDE 3.0

I've just installed KDE 3.0 on my SuSE 7.3 system with the packages from ftp.kde.org. It seems that printing of CJK documents (like websites or KWord documents) works now pretty well with the Arphic TT-fonts. This wasn't possible with KDE 2.2.2.
