[opensuse-m17n] Anthy package is broken

Hi, Takashi, Recently anthy is broken in M17N for openSUSE:Factory. Hillwood & I tried to fork and fix it, but we failed. It seems to be xemacs related, xemacs can't build anthy-dic.el and produced a lot of warnings/errors. As I know, our xemacs didn't get updated for a while, so I think further the problem maybe the new gcc 4.8 or any new change in Factory. But we're not programmers, and we know nothing about LISP/GCC fix...so can you please take a look at this issue for us? [opensuse-m17n] A plan to update ibus 1.5

Hello all, Let's restart to discuss toward 13.1. We had postponed to update ibus to 1.5.0 for 12.3 because of several regressions or bugs. # and other distributions such as Ubuntu also did. However, I know some ibus engines require 1.5 and ibus is a part of GNOME. So we cannot keep the old version. Did anyone test ibus-1.5.2 in M17N:Devel? https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=ibus&project=M17N%3ADevel I am testing a copy of the package in my repo for several weeks. It looks fine to me though some key binds are not available anymore. What we have to do for ibus on M17N:Devel? 1. fix .changes file We cannot change the history of a package which had been submitted to Factory. We may have to revert it to that of M17N and put *a* new log entry containing: - merge branch in M17N:Devel - update to 1.5.2 * changes in this version - update to 1.5.1 * changes in this version - update to 1.5.0 * changes in this version We, especially hillwood, did trial and error for more than one year. I think we can write some comments on this entry to record the trial and error. 2. add "Obsoletes ibus-gnome-shell" Now I have time for update. Shall I update? Does anyone want to do it? Then, now we have SR from dimstar. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/180448 Thanks a lot! It seems that important changes in M17N:Devel are missing in the SR, though. I guess it does not work correctly. It it a quick way to fix the package in M17N:Devel? Any idea? Hi, listmates, I'm pleased to announce that our M17N team has successfully packaged and shipped fcitx 4.2.8 released earilier today, GMT -0400 NY Time. For early testers, you can add M17N repo and update. Or you can wait for 13.1 M3 (seems). NOTICE Western people can also use "keyboard" input methods in fcitx to speed your life up. It has m17n-lib map support, spell checking and even word prediction with the help of presage (A Cambridge western language model). But it ships IBus frontend "ibus-kkc" only (We'll have it too in 13.1) * openSUSE is the first ditribution ships fcitx-kkc. Thanks to my push and upstream's will to listen & great hard work PACKAGER TODO * Check out if there're more out-dated dependencies and update'em. * Test on GNOME 3.9 and further versions (GNOME integrates IBus since 3.6, so all other IM frameworks need to find their own way to survive. We hope it "just works" but there may be bad luck everyday.) PS: Its core devs are all studying in the United States now, one in MIT for bachelor and one in Stonybrook for PHD. So eastern US LUGs/Conferences are welcome to ask them to give lightening talks about how input methods work in design and reality.
