For example, if you use openSUSE 12.1, follow steps below:
1) Add M17N repo to your install source.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/M17N/openSUSE_12.1/
2) Install gjiten and wadokujt packages (and their requirements, if needed).
3) Launch Gjiten.
4) Edit -> Preferences -> Add "/usr/share/edict/wadokujt" as
'Japanisch-Deutsch' (or any other name as you like)
Then, you'll be able to select 'Japanisch-Deutsch' on Gjiten.
By the way, when you are online, you can use http://www.wadoku.de/ for
your communicating in Japanese. ;-)
Best.

Hi all,
I prepared ibus-chewing packages in which the GNOME lock screen problem are resolved.
One (ibus-chewing-1.4.4) is now in M17N, and the other (ibus-chewing-1.4.3 + patch) is
ready for a maintenance request to 13.1.
Could you test the latter package?
You can find it from:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:ftake:branches:openSUSE:13.1:U…https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847718
Best regards,
Fuminobu TAKEYAMA

There're some inconvenience about IM in GNOME 3
GNOME 3 had integrated ibus as it's default method
if you don't want to use ibus, you have to remove ibus
but this may impossible in a multi-user system
but if you don't remove ibus
gnome-settings-daemon will force reset your QT_IM_MODULE and
XMODIFIERS variables
that cause can't input in QT-base applications and some legacy apps
see my bug report:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=853063
I found an workaround but not sure how far this will effect
need your help and opinion
