Hi, in this blog post http://myronmars.to/n/dev-blog/2014/05/notable-changes-in-rspec-3 is summary of changes in new rspec 3.0. I do not think that we will use it for SLE-12 tests, but maybe it will be used for 13.2. In general I think we should not use new syntax now, but what we can do is to not use deprecated syntax as there is already alternatives to prevent future problems. Hi, while reassigning yast-maintainers bugs I noticed that once again the maintainer/bugowner information is inconsistent: The content of the MAINTAINER file in git differs from the output of 'osc maintainer' or 'osc bugowner'. This leads to confusion. We had this problem before and apparently fail to solve the inconsistency long term. So I propose to drop the MAINTAINER file in git and rely on osc. Instead we can have a AUTHORS files so that people not knowing about osc can still reach the authors. I've submitted a new installation-images package that should make network setup a bit easier. Both rescue system and installation system now have a 'dhcpcd' shell function that works like the old dhcpcd command. And it even accepts the old ethX interface names. So 'dhcpcd enp0s3' starts dhcp, 'dhcpcd -k enp0s3' stops it. And if you think that enp0s3 is not intuitive enough, try 'dhcpcd eth0'. Hi list, with grub2 we have problem with old API that bootloader provide as it modify sections, but grub2 generate parameters from global parameters. Result is that old method work unreliable and we get some serious bug reports about it especially with xen. It also need nasty hack in perl-bootloader that choose first modified section and convert parameters to global one, which do not work nice. So I propose new API[1] and would like to know your opinions. It is documented and contain also examples of usage. It is designed more like swiss knife then single purpose API as current usage is very different ( some need to add only to common kernel like cio_ignore and do not have it in failsafe, others like crashdump should be everywhere and others like yast2-vm need only xen related ). Other option is to create specialized methods that set given type of kernel, but in some case it create more code then needed. Hi, I just like to warn you, that method `_` and its variants `n_` can return frozen string[1]. short: it means that you cannot call instance modifying methods on result like sub!,gsub! or `<<` otherwise frozen string modification exception is raised. long explanation: Gettext for english return what it gets, so it is not affected in english, but if translation is returned it looks to its map of translated string and to avoid copying it return frozen instance of string ( it means you cannot modify translation ). Reason is performance, as long strings can be quite expensive to copy. [yast-devel] broken GUI installer

Trying to GUI HTTP install from Factory right now everywhere I hover in a select list is nothing but black. Gfxchip is mga g550. Target is multiboot P4 system with 10.2 and 11.4 working normally. After completing expert partitioning and boot loader installation configuration, clicking the section management tab produces "UI Syntax Error. No widget with ID 'inst-proposal-progress' Check the log file!." Prior bootloader choices included Grub Legacy, propose new configuration, 15 second timeout, and deselecting all options except boot from root partition. After clearing the popups, clicking the add button produces no response. Clicking cancel wants to abort everything. Clicking install wants to proceed as if software installation had been performed, yet it hadn't been. There is not back button.
