Hi all, We have just released Agama 5 which, among other things, includes: * A translated web user interface. By now, it is available in Dutch, English, Japanese, Spanish, Swedish. * A prototype of a software patterns selection. However, the important part is the discussion in the openSUSE Factory mailing list[1]. * Agama does not reuse pre-existing swap partitions. * Support to boot via PXE. Agama - Analyzing the Web Frontend Bundle Size

Hello! If you build the Agama web frontend you will get a quite huge index.js file (~300KB gzip compressed, ~1.3MB uncompressed). Have you ever wondered what's inside or how much space is used by libraries or embedded icons? Then check https://agama-bundle.surge.sh/ (Warning: a large screen is required to see it well :-)) It has been generated by the "source-map-explorer" tool, if you want to generate it locally then follow these steps: # go to the web frontend sources cd agama/web # build the production bundle NODE_ENV=production npm run build # install the source-map-explorer tool npm install --no-save source-map-explorer # uncompress the index.js.gz file (and keep the original) gunzip -k dist/index.js.gz # analyze the file npx source-map-explorer dist/index.js --html bundle.html # open it in a browser xdg-open bundle.html # cleanup rm dist/index.js bundle.html npm uninstall source-map-explorer See more details in https://github.com/danvk/source-map-explorer Enjoy! :-) Ladislav -- Ladislav Slezák YaST Developer SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. Hi, I'm sharing several interesting JavaScript resources: 33 JavaScript Concepts ---------------------- https://github.com/leonardomso/33-js-concepts A huge list of links to documentation, articles. blog posts, presentations and videos grouped around 33 basic concepts like data types, promises... Awesome JavaScript ------------------ https://github.com/sorrycc/awesome-javascript A list of JS libraries. Although we use React and PatternFly which provide a lot of functionality in some cases you might need something more. This list includes commonly used libraries or tools with good quality. WTFJS ----- (You can probably easily guess what does that mean... ;-)) https://github.com/denysdovhan/wtfjs A list of funny and tricky JavaScript examples. If you see some strange behavior or you are interested in some real corner cases check this list. BTW did you know that type of NaN (Not a Number) is....... number? :-) Airbnb Style Guide ------------------ https://github.com/airbnb/javascript We use eslint for checking the code, it has a good documentation for the defined rules (https://eslint.org/docs/latest/rules), this is an alternative documentation. The eslint documentation contains good and bad examples with some description, but in some cases the Airbnb WHY section better describes why some style should be preferred. YaST Autosubmission to the openSUSE Factory/Tumbleweed

Hi all, because the public Jenkins instance at https://ci.opensuse.org/view/Yast/ does not work fully the autosubmission to openSUSE Factory/Tumbleweed was stopped. Therefore I moved the autosubmission jobs to the internal Jenkins instance. The autosubmission should work as usually, just from an internal server not publicly available.
