Hi all, We are pleased to announce the availability of Agama 7. Among other features, it brings: * Allow choosing localization settings for the installed system (language, keyboard and timezone). * Use zram to reduce memory consumption. * Add support to install MicroOS and MicroOS Desktop. Drop Leap 16.0 support. * Simplified software selection based on a curated list of patterns per product. * Registration support. It is enabled for Dolomite. * Allow to select the file system type selection and to choose a policy to make space. * Support for network bonding in the unattended scenario. Debugging a deadlock in Tokio

Hi all, While working on using our network service in Agama's web UI, I got trapped by a deadlock in our Rust code. You know, once you find the issue, it looks obvious. But it took me a while to figure it out :-) In the process, I decided to use tokio-console[1], a tool that collects and displays information about your asynchronous tasks and resources. Failing rubocop in CI for master

Hi, I check issue with failing rubocop CI and it affects only 0.71.0 version. 1.41 is not affected ( fix for newer psych is applied ). So what we decided for now lets unify our rubocop version to 1.41 to fix the issue. I think now during christmas time is good time to prepare a bunch of PRs for master. Josef

Fun with flags^H timezones

While testing my new code that adds a most-representative country to each one of the timezones known by Agama (so it's easier for the users to find their zones), I found my code was able to do the work for 434 out of 473 timezones. In a few cases it actually makes sense to have timezones that are associated to no country at all (UTC), but in other cases I was not sure whether I should try to fix the problem or simply drop the timezone from the list. Debugging Agama/Cockpit

Hi all, I have created a short document about debugging Agama/Cockpit: https://github.com/openSUSE/agama/blob/master/doc/debugging.md So far there is just a description of how to enable Cockpit debugging to see all data transferred between the browser and the Cockpit server (like the DBus calls, executing processes and so on).
