[opensuse-packaging] Problem Compiling Postfix 2.7.2 64bit Centos (32-bit works)

Hallo! I hope this is the right place to search for this kind of help. I am trying to compile Postfix 2.7.2 for CentOS 64-Bit. I took all files form Rusjako´s postfix package. I know they were ment for SuSE, but the sources compile well for CentOS 5 32-Bit. The problem is that the build for 64-Bit ends with a missing mysqlclient-library. ------- snip ------- gcc -shared -Wl,-soname,dict_mysql.so -o dict_mysql.so dict_mysql.o -L/usr/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient -L. -lutil -lglobal /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmysqlclient collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [dict_mysql.so] Error 1 make: *** [update] Error 1 error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.67235 (%build) RPM build errors: cannot open Pubkeys index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.67235 (%build) [ 137.703436] System halted. ------- snap ------- I guess the message of the missing pub-key-index was not the reason for the problem. I have no explanation for the beviour. Maybe someone could give me a hint. [opensuse-packaging] MMX/SSE in i586 packages

I have a program with a build system that adds "-mfpmath=sse -msse" to the CFLAGS. What do you think, should I patch it? Hello, when there is in foo-1.rpm a directory /somewhere/foo/ but in foo-2.rpm it is a link /somewhere/foo -> /elsewhere/bar then "rpm --upgrade foo" fails with -------------------------------------------------------------- error: unpacking of archive failed on file /somewhere/foo: cpio: rename failed - Is a directory -------------------------------------------------------------- What is the officially blessed method to support such a change in the software in the RPM package of such a software? Assume that one cannot change the actual software. Hello Mates, now the fltk and fltk-flu are working as expected. I need them for building vbaexpress (GUI for VirtualBoy Emulator). [opensuse-packaging] rpmlint-checks: adding new gnome/desktop-related checks

Hi, I've been adding some macros to make life easier when packaging things for GNOME, or desktop applications in general. See [1] for some of those, and I guess I'll send a new mail later for the others -- I just need to figure out where some of them should live. Anyway. The thing is that those macros are all nice, but nobody will think about using them if they don't have rpmlint checks. So I wrote some checks. Can we add this to the rpmlint-checks git repo, and to our rpmlint package? Hello I need to install a Qt library to get around the following error [1]. What Buildrequires name do I need to add ?. Hi, is python3 includes being installed under "/usr/include/python3.2m" permanent? Although python3-config gives the correct -I flag the macro I was using in blender does this : python3 -c "import sys; v=sys.version_info[:2]; print('%d.%d'%v)" 2>/dev/null || echo PYTHON-NOT-FOUND 3.2 I use the %{python3_incdir} macro, which expands to %{python3_prefix}/include/python%{python3_ver}, to specify the python3 includes in blender. The blender people use an internal python3 3.2 which makes my specifying the include path necessary. So far this only happens with my 11.3 build which is the only build that uses a linked devel:languages:python:Factory python3. I've also noticed your link from devel:languages:python to devel:languages:python:Factory python3 is broken and although devel:languages:python:Factory python3 is supposed to be the devel project, there's no factory link there either. I've put in a conditional for 11.3 to use a literal version 3.2m but this is most probably going to factory or should I use a different python3 for builds that target 11.4? I've copied (and maybe altered) the macros from the packaging python wiki. I've thought of a workaround while typing : "python3-config --abiflags" gives the "m" so if this is the shape of things to come, I can append that to the macro %{python3_ver} known as %{py3_ver} in macros/python3? I've looked in "macros.python3" and the macro %{py3_ver} looks the same as the %{python3_ver} I've used. All of this just to ask the question, is the output of "python3-config --abiflags" always going to be appended to "%py3_ver"? [opensuse-packaging] Does X11:common:Factory have any active maintainers?

Just read the RC1 announcement and it looks like my attempt to have the LV2 plugin system in 11.4 is foiled by redland language bindings. I have sr#59432 waiting for 10 days now with redland language bindings built with redland. I don't believe in putting packages in devel projects where they don't belong ie. multimedia:libs and it's too late for new packages anyway. If there is a problem at this stage then the comment at the top is true. Please have a look, I used great care to not touch the existing redland build so hopefully there isn't a problem.
