Hello!
I have packaged a cross-toolchain for Windows machines based on the latest
releases of the mingw gcc port. You can find everything at
http://pi3.informatik.uni-mannheim.de/~schiele/suse/.

Heya,
rebuilding kernel-syms.spec through lbuild 0.0_svnr1043m gives the
following interesting bits:
installing kernel-bigsmp-2.6.18.6-jen43
Setting up /lib/modules/2.6.18.6-jen43-bigsmp
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.456: line 76: /sbin/depmod: No such file or directory
installing kernel-default-2.6.18.6-jen43
Setting up /lib/modules/2.6.18.6-jen43-default
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.68149: line 76: /sbin/depmod: No such file or directory
installing kernel-desktop-2.6.18.6-jen43
Setting up /lib/modules/2.6.18.6-jen43-desktop
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.19390: line 76: /sbin/depmod: No such file or directory
installing kernel-xen-2.6.18.6-jen43
Setting up /lib/modules/2.6.18.6-jen43-xen
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.56418: line 76: /sbin/depmod: No such file or directory
installing kernel-xenpae-2.6.18.6-jen43
Setting up /lib/modules/2.6.18.6-jen43-xenpae
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.55113: line 76: /sbin/depmod: No such file or directory
...
installing module-init-tools-3.2.2-62
...
error: File not found by glob:
/var/tmp/kernel-syms-2.6.18.6-build/lib/modules/*/modules.alias
Guess what, module-init-tools got installed too late. How to fix?

Hello,
/usr/share/gtk-doc doesn't belong to a package. Shouldn't it belong to
gnome-filesystem since /opt/gnome/share/gtk-doc belongs to that
package and GNOME will be moved to /usr in 10.2?
It's to fix build errors in some Xfce packages. Thanks.
Regards,
Bernhard

Fedora should have patches as well. If people using the buildservice
like to test this, it would be fine.

Thanks for that list, let's see what we figure out in our build,

Hi,
is it possible in the prog_DATA-section of a Makefile.am to take over a
directory structure with its files of the source-code or have I to enter
every single directory by hand?
For example:
ls -R:
.:
CD1 locales media.1 mediafiles patfiles products selfiles sources
suse
./CD1:
media.1 suse
./CD1/media.1:
directory.yast info.txt license.zip media products
./CD1/suse:
setup
./CD1/suse/setup:
descr
./CD1/suse/setup/descr:
Basis-Devel-10.0-109.noarch.sel Java-10.0-109.noarch.sel
./locales:
content media.1 suse
./locales/media.1:
directory.yast info.txt license.zip media products
./locales/suse:
setup
./locales/suse/setup:
descr
./locales/suse/setup/descr:
common.war directory.yast EXTRA_PROV MD5SUMS packages
...
Has anybody a clue?
Thanks,
Stefan

Hi,
in lbuild, when executing
BUILD_DIR=/home/jengelh/build lbuild-10.2 something.spec
does not do the right thing. Generated RPM packages don't have
Packager: set even though it is defineed in
/home/jengelh/build/configs/sl10.2.conf

Hi all,
I have updated the cdrkit package in factory. The most important
change is that the binaries were renamed, to prevent conflicts
with the original cdrtools package:
cdrecord -> wodim
readcd -> readom
mkisofs -> genisoimage
cdda2wav -> icedax
I have created a compatibility package cdrkit-cdrtools-compat,
which contains the links and handles dependencies, therefore
everything should work as before.
In long term, however, it wold be good to have native support
for cdrkit in all frontends, because it offers some improvements:
- the preferred way of specifying a device is dev=/dev/cdrecorder,
dev=/dev/hdc, dev=/dev/sr0, etc.
- available devices can be listed with wodim -devices
- suid root is not needed
If you maintain such frontend or script, please consider adding
native cdrkit support.

I came to think of something.. I use the build script from
opensuse.org, v2006.10.05 rel. 4.1 and it's running on a 10.1 system.
When I build packages for 9.3, I've configured sources like this:
add_sources="suse"
url_suse="file:/media/9.3/"
And on /media/9.3 the 9.3 DVD is mounted. However, when I look in the
build root, there are libs for kernel 2.6.16 installed. Does the script
build packages that are functional on a 9.3 system, or do I have to use
a 9.3 host for that?

Hello,
is it possible to include also the CGI into the PHP package. There is
only the CLI version included. Bur for some applications the CGI is
needed. For example for the mod_suphp mechanism. It can only
deal with the CGI and I do not want to complie PHP myself,
because it will drop out of all update mechanisms?

Markus
