[opensuse-autoinstall] GPT without EFI: HowTo?

Hello, I try to install a system with GPT and grub2 without EFI. AS far as I know I need some space for the grub2 stage2 at the first place of the harddisk with the ID "bios-boot" But how can I do this via autoyast? [opensuse-autoinstall] Change enumeration of disks

Hello, I try to install a system with an Adaptec Raid controller via autoyast. But when booting from the usb stick this usbstick gets sda, the two raid arrays get sdb and sdc. Can I change the enumeration to get the two raid arrays to sda and sdb? [opensuse-autoinstall] AutoYast openSUSE Leap 42.3: network repositories

Hello, I am trying to configure AutoYast profile for installing Leap 42.3. I deploy my XML profile file by HTTP as the following ifcfg=eth*=dhcp autoyast=http://servername/path/to/profile.xml I see that the profile is downloaded and Automatic Installation proceeds. The issue is that there is single one repository configured in software manager: openSUSE installation DVD. How could I specify in autoyast to configure usual openSUSE network repositories (oss, update-oss, non-oss, update-non-oss) before installation is performed? [opensuse-autoinstall] Autoinstall and multiple compiler -> kernel module can not be build

Hi, I tried to do an auto install of SLES 12SP1. I created a local repository with additional compiler (gcc 5,6,7,8 ...). The installation is working. But when I try to install our file system software (Quantum stornext), the kernel module is build successful, but can not be loaded (exe format error...). Now I tried the same installation without the gcc source and everything is working. I installed gcc8 +gfortran8. beside the normal cc and c++ and all the updates for SLES12SP1(without kernel updates). [opensuse-autoinstall] Use Harddisk only if empty

Hello, I plan to install machines with 2 harddisks via autoyast. The second disk should be mounted into a specific directory. Can I configure autoyast in that way that it looks if: - the second disk is empty: Format it and mount it - if the second disk is NOT empty but has a specific disk label: mount it - if the second disk is NOT empty and the disklabel us unknown: Leave it as it is Can this be done with autoyast? [opensuse-autoinstall] Use autoyast for upgrade ?

Hi, is it possible to use autoyast to UPGRDAE a system (42.2 -> 42.3, or SLES 11SP4 -> SLES12SP1 ? Any expires ? Hi Alessandro, on system is script save_y2logs that will collect all required logs from installation, second stage and also some system logs to get context for underlaying tools. Hi, I am trying to apply an autoyast profile containing various files which need to replace the default installed ones. Their contents are included within the profile with <file> ... <file_contents> ... </file_contents> </file> (see attached profile template). The same seems also to occur for <printer>, <ntp- client> Unfortunately, after completion of the installation process, none of them does match their content given in the profile. A similar issue occurred for opensuse 13.1 and it was fixed by loading a driver update disk containing a corrected autoyast package for installation. I tried to create a similar disk from the updated autoyast2 packages in the update repo of Leap 15.0, i.e. autoyast2-4.0.55...noarch.rpm and autoyast2- installation-4.0.55...noarch.rpm, but I still get the same result : files are not altered from their default installed versions. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug ? Regards, Alessandro
