Correct/best way to specify path to autoyast

Hello, we create an iso image of an installation media. This can be used for burning an DVD or for copying it on an usb key. What is the best way to append an "autoyast=" line? Atm. we use two files for syslinux and isolinux, but I wan't to simplify it. But when I use "autoyast=file:///autoyast.xml" the file could not be found, when I start from USB. Hi Imo, sorry for ignoring you here :-) I posted a similar message on the yast-devel list and we a little discussion there. My last (although unanswered) proposal was adding a little button or sth. similar that would either open a popup or display a window below the progress bar that would show the output of sth. like "tail -f /var/log/YaST2/y2log |grep -o 'Executing.*'" That would be trivial to implement but give at least the info which packages are currently installed. Getting verbose progress back on 15SP4?

Hi, doing the first installation of a 15SP4 system with AY we see the progress report has been reduced to the progress bar and the number and size of the remaining packages. In all previous version we could see the list of repos, how many packages from each repo had already been installed etc. and (most important!) the name of the package currently installed. Dialog while running post installation scripts?

Hello, I'm running some post installation scripts, which are running some minutes. There is only a black screen with a blinking cursor. Is it possible to show the yast screen, that shows, that the post installation scripts are running? Otherwise it could be confused with a hanging system. I'm using Leap 15.2 atm... AutoYaST - Is there a way to specify the LSM to use in the autoinst.xml control file?

I've created an AutoYaST control file (autoinst.xml) which installs an openSUSE Tumbleweed system for use as a Virtual Machine OS. There are three issues I've not been able to fing a solution/workaround for: 1. There doesn't seem to be a way to specify which Linux Security Module is selected via autoinst.xml. This means that my attempts to remove apparmor related patterns / packages fail and it requires manual intervention. AutoYaST <authorized_key> not working on openSUSE Tumbleweed

Debugging rules and classes for AutoYast

I'm trying to get the rules and classes working on both SLE 15 and Tumbleweed. Problem is that the only working test is with SLE 15 Build 31.2 on openqa.suse.de, everything else complains that there is no profile. So I installed a local apache and copied my rule-based example directory. Then I installed on a local VM. Result is: Tumbleweed Snapshot from 20210904 is failing. SLE 15 Build 29.1 is failing, SLE 15 Build 31.2 is failing too. Then it tries with the hexadecimal value of the IP address, always cutting the last element of that string, but always gets 404s. Since the same ISO image for SLE 15 SP4 is working when I'm using it in an openQA enviroenment, I assume that the installer will do some updates when contacting the SLE registration server. Form the apache log it shows that its always getting the rules/rules.xml file, but it seems not to be satisfied with that. How can I find out what is wrong with the rules.xml file? Autoyast removes comments in autoinst.xml?

Hello, I set a comment with "" in my autoinst.xml to replace it with a pre script with thome xml snipplets. But when I check the file at installation time at /tmp/profile/, the comment is deleted, all other comments also. Can I prevent autoyast from doing that?
