Hi, don't follow artwork regularly, but I stumbled on this discussion and I wanted to ask something. You are discussing replacements for Fifth Leg font and you wrote in discussion[1] that it has been already decided to replace it, can I ask as non-artwork guy, what is wrong with Fifth Leg? Apart from some people being bored with it... Maybe you can just point to the original discussion and decision about the change? Don't take me wrong, I'm really curious although I admit that I like Fifth Leg and I think that it is something that helps us differentiate... Currently FifthLeg font is placed on gitorious [1]. But openSUSE git repositories were moved to github. Are there any plans to move FifthLeg font resources? I've had private conversations at conferences with people like Andi to explain to them the situation and educate them, in the hope that I'd have less work to do and the community would be better for it Heck, I even stood back and withdrew myself from all -artwork affairs for a fair while, in the hope that my absence would give the room for those who feel as Andi do to step up and work to their own way and here we are, January with a To Do list a mile long If you want to discuss process & planning, I have no way of stopping you, but this thread, and the message I have been trying to convey in all of my recent posts to this mailing list is that we've had such discussions for months and they've got us no where Enough talk and pissing time up the wall. We don't have time to plan or produce pretty procedures for others to follow, we need to *produce*, or else openSUSE 12.3 will not be finished. If you want to contribute, pick something off that stupidly long to do list and get productive. I'm doing everything I can to help with that, such as pointing people in the direction of each individual part of GitHub and watching this list as closely as I can to provide any advice, while doing my best to tackle what I can from that list. [opensuse-artwork] Artwork for openSUSE 12.3

Hi all. As the 12.3 release date gets closer, we should focus on preparing the artwork, now. From what I can see, we got proposals from Victor: http://paste.opensuse.org/44822206 and the one Ivan, Richard and I was working on: http://marcusmoeller.ch/share/oS/12_3/grow_05.png The latter has been prepared to work well with the produkt-based Plasma theme that is in testing in K:D:F and Factory right now. There are already a lot of submissions on the flickr page, but from what I can see, at least the non-photographic designs, does not fullfil our logo guidelines. The photos could of course be bundled to a supplementary wallpaper package. (who will do the work?) I would like to suggest to push the above two proposals to factory and continue working on it. We would also gain more feedback this way. Is that okay for you? [opensuse-artwork] Regular Meetings Proposal

Given recent discussions on the course and understanding that the artwork team should do/not do and the many suggestions from our members for extra communication between us, there has been ideas a proposals in the past for holding regular meetings in our team. I would like to do this because it helps very much, even if we don't have much to discuss, it helps in making sure that we are all on the same page and also provide help for others. Extra coordination can bring better results and keep our contributors on schedule for release artwork or marketing requests. Meetings are also a public event that people can attend on IRC. Work to be done after them would go as a summary email on the list and we could be more clear about our efforts. What do you think? every 1 week, every 2 weeks? monthly? Etc.
