[opensuse-artwork] RFC: Website Redesign (Recolor) That meets new branding guidelines

Hi All, I thought it was about time we looked at the website again, ever since the 13.2 banner has been on the landing page it has bugged me due to how much the colors clash with the green and orange rectangle. I don't have the time to redesign the entire website + wiki + forums and everything else, but I figured i probably do have time to go through the stylesheets and recolor the website to match the new branding guidelines http://opensuse.github.io/branding-guidelines/ so that is what i have done. If someone is in the process of redesiging everything nice work and go for that instead. There is 1 content / design change i would like to make to the front page and that is to add the top navigation bar present in the wiki and forums, i have always found it hard to navigate the rest of the site from the front page, so i guess others do as well and i think that that will help. I have done some mockups using the firefox inspection tools that allow messing with and replacing stylesheets. I use a wiki as my notepad, and the list of changes i have made can be found there, http://notes.simotek.net/doku.php?id=projects:opensusee:website, I have also created css files that can be pasted in over the exisiting ones so that you can try out the changes, although they will disappear as soon as you navigate to another page. I was wondering if there are any test servers running mirroring the sites that i could get access to that would make life much easier as would knowing where all the source code lives. Hopefully all permitting i'll get a first shot of the wiki and the forums stylesheets in the next couple of days. I used openSUSE for 2 years before discovering the forums, and that was only because someone pointed me to a enlightenment issue that was reported there. I also haven't tested the pages that live outside the frontpage, wiki and forums. None of that will be huge amounts of effort to finish up if we go down that path. We should probably do something with the wiki / forums to match the other landing page anyway.
