Hi all,
I wanted to share some wallpapers that we made. We did them just for
"fun" and hope you like them. Some are made in Photoshop and some in
Inkscape. In any case we export any size needed if anyone is interested.
These are just some of ideas we had, some based on the current colors
that we used for print materials and some totally different.
Take a look and let us know what you think.

Hi list mates!!
This time I share a pair of wallpapers made by a spanish user.
He's a member of spanish openSUSE forum, and there he shared a pair of
really good wallpapers (IMHO)
I asked him to share here in the ML. But he didn't know how to do it,
so I write here in his name and put him in CC.
He made a first wallpaper for 13.1, but I asked him to change the text
for the 13.2
and later he made another one.
You can check them here:

I shared that work in G+ and other communities and many people like them...
I think that there are a good work, but just check it out yourself! ;)
He made that in Gimp, so there's no a .svg file, but a .xfc...
hope you like them!

Hey guys. Just recently I've started my Xfce adventure. What I want to
know is if anyone is doing some beautifying of the default Xfce
experience maybe?
And, how would it go if we make a mod of an existing gtk theme (f.ex.
Greybird, or Zukitwo...)as a default openSUSE theme? Is that doable,
or are there some other restrictions?
Thanks!

Hi Team,
As you saw at oSC14 on the Videos and such Zvezdana and Kenneth put
together new Marketing Materials which we're using in the booth boxes
we're sending around the world
I've uploaded the PDF's and SVG Sources for those materials temporarily to here:
https://github.com/sysrich/opensuse-newbrandguidelines
Please read the README.md which explains what is in each folder :)
They actually gave me these a few weeks ago, but I wanted to upload
them elsewhere, like I said above, this is a 'temporary' home for
these while we come up with a more sensible permanent solution
And I'll answer the obvious question before it's asked
Q. "Why am I not uploading these to our existing openSUSE/artwork
github repository?"
A. We've discussed as a group, and I've discussed individually with a
lot of you, the idea of having a special 'curated' location for
'official' openSUSE materials. I want to keep openSUSE/artwork (or
it's possible replacement..such as ownCloud) as a 'creative
free-for-all', where we can all share our ideas and bounce them
around.
But once something has transitioned to 'official', such as being used
in official openSUSE Project marketing materials, I think it makes
sense to keep the materials in a clear, moderated repository, most
likely with Guidelines and Instructions for use, so people know where
to go to just quickly get the specific materials they need.
Zvezdana and Kenneth are working on a website for their Guidelines,
and I expect these PDF's and SVG's will be permanently housed there,
but in the meantime, you can grab the current materials from their
temporary home above
Enjoy,
Richard

Hi all.
KDE is working on a flat style for KDE 5. This kind of design is very
popular at the moment (though not everybody likes it, as always).
I would like to suggest to make use of the default theme for KDE 5, and
keep what we got now, for 13.2.
You can take a look on how a (perhaps bit extreme) flat style looks
like, here:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bmx_3brIEAApNcr.png:large
This is of course still KDE 4.

Hi.
I'm making a gtk theme for LXDE's LXPanel. I'd like to get some feedback.
There is a light and a dark versión. I don't like the dark one a lot, but I
know that people like dark stuff.
Screenshots links:
- Light version: http://susepaste.org/45847968
- Dark version: http://susepaste.org/18096996
P.S.: I'm null as designer, so don't LoL a lot, XD.
Greetings.

Hello all,
I dont know if it has been brought up before but why not have some
openSUSE themed icons for the default theme? I know its a lot of work
(if I was talented enough to make them, believe me I would) but I
think it would be great if the defaults were green instead of the
oxygen blue which clashes with the theme.
For example the folder icons in the oxygen theme are a blue while the
rest of the theme make everything green so they stick out in a bad way.
I was just wondering what you guys thought about the idea.
Regards,
Uzair
Hi all,
We've started to translate the CMYK colours from the print stuff we did
into RGB. Please note that this is a work in progress so any suggestions
or examples of problems in usage are more than welcome.
The file can be found here...it is an SVG file with four sets of boxes.
The outer left and right boxes are the original CMYK colours (note that
they look a bit dirty). The inner colours are our first attempts at
translating the CMYK into RGB.
http://paste.opensuse.org/42467162
If there are any questions or suggestions for improvement please share
them with the list. Again, I'd like to mention that these colours are
not in any way official, they are just the colours from the last set of
printed marketing materials.
