Hi, I add license to almost all headers of source code and there is also checker in Rake which checks missing license headers in your plugin. [yast-devel] On the use of strings as hash keys

Hi, when building hashes, watch for the type of hash keys. Using strings (i.e. "key") affects performance since key operations involve string (character-by-character) compares. Using symbols (i.e. :key) is faster and uses less resources. Symbols are 'interned', kept only once in memory, and compare operations are simple integer compares. Please keep this in mind when you see { "key" => ... } and think about using { :key => ... } instead. [yast-devel] Incomplete phrases in several WebYaST po files

Hi all, I am translating some WebYast po files and I have found several incomplete phrases in them. This makes difficult for translators to provide good translations since in languages like Italian we distinguish genre and plural also for verbs and adjectives. As Karl Eichwalder said in translation-ml [1], incomplete phrases are not allowed and in [2] I asked if I should open a different bug report for each file containing incomplete phrases. The answer is to open a report for each po file. Before opening such reports, I would like to know your opinion about incomplete phrases since removing them affects the work of both YaST developers and translators. For instance, if you replace incomplete phrases with complete sentences in a short time such that new translation could be included into openSUSE 11.3, then translating current po files is useless. [yast-devel] WebYaST - enabled tests in RPM build

Hi all, I have enabled tests during RPM build (in both service and client). (See bnc#594343 for details.) That means you have take care of the tests in your package, a failing test means that the package cannot be built. Check the current status in OBS using this link: https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor?project=YaST%3AWeb The tests are packaged into separate *-testsuite subpackages. You also need new 'rubygem-webyast-rake-tasks' package for submitting a package. ('rake package' now includes test/ subdirectory in www.tar.bz2 file.) Install it from OBS or from GIT directly. The changes have not been submitted to SLE11-SP1 yet because some packages are failing now. Hi all, I have found that many functional tests in webservice plugins fails. The reason is that PERMISSION_CHECK_TESTING in permission_check function has been removed.
