Hi, I have a question regarding the Repository manager feature. I found that PackageKit doesn't support all needed actions for this feature: Only alias, name, status (enabled/disabled) can be read, AFAIK there is no way to read url, keep_packages, autorefresh and priority attributes. Similar problem is with writing, only status, priority and autorefresh can be changed. It seems that we need to enhance PackageKit and libzypp-backend, or have I overlooked something? Greetings good people of openSUSE, I've added some rake tasks to simplify webyast deployment from git repository. [yast-devel] Where is '`id()' documented?

Hello, I cannot find where `id() is documented, i.e. what exactly does this symbol do in particular regarding UI functions. I am confused because http://forgeftp.novell.com/yast/doc/SL11.1/tdg/id_ycp_data_symbol.html reads "A symbol is a literal constant". In contrast http://forgeftp.novell.com/yast/doc/SL11.1/tdg/ChangeWidget.html reads "symbol widgetId Can also be specified as `id( any widgetId )" Therefore for example in UI::ChangeWidget(`id("widget_id_string"),... the literal constant `id("widget_id_string") seems to be more like a function call of a function named id with prototype/signature symbol id ( any ) but I cannot even find such a function documented. I use and used `id() by "look at other code" all the time but now I have the strange idea to try to understand it ;-) In particular I wonder why UI::whatever_widget_function(`id(`widget_id_symbol),... is used most often in YCP code instead of simply calling UI::whatever_widget_function(`widget_id_symbol,... which is also (less often) used in YCP code. For me `id(`widget_id_symbol) looks like a useless "call" of a symbol->symbol conversion. [yast-devel] Webyast: Testing if target machine provide interface

Hi, I add new functionality to webclient. Now you could test if target machine provide interface. It is required because for SLE11SP1 and 11.2 we don't rely that all plugin is installed ( which is true in initial appliance). Why use it: To test if target machine has interface (plugin which implement it). for documentation see: http://svn.opensuse.org/autodocs/webyast-client/head/webclient/classes/Yast… for example usage see tests in commit (line37,38): http://gitorious.org/opensuse/yast-web-client/commit/3df4f7d27a7fd9c4135c62… future plans: I plan to add to each plugin description beside name, icon etc also required interfaces and when this interfaces is not available plugin is not shown in control panel. So if you log to machine 1 you can see different modules then for machine 2. [yast-devel] YCP: how to permanently bind the Enter key to a PushButton?

Hello, I like to permanently bind the Enter key to a PushButton. Currently I have in source/printer/src/basicadd.ycp --------------------------------------------------------------- `HBox ( `PushButton ( `id(`apply_driver_filter), `opt(`default), _("&Search for") ), `InputField ( `id(`driver_filter_input), --------------------------------------------------------------- I use `opt(`default) because this button must be the default so that it is activated when the user pressed the Enter key because when the user has clicked into the InputField to enter a search string, it is normal to finish entering by pressing the Enter key but if the Enter key was linked to 'Next' or 'Back' (which is the default), the user would get the wrong action. Unfortunately `opt(`default) does not work here. I assume whatever Wizard::... function call afterwards invalids this `opt(`default) and re-sets the default back to 'Next' or 'Back'. Therefore I added in source/printer/src/basicadd.ycp --------------------------------------------------------------- any user_input = nil; while( true ) { UI::SetFocus( `apply_driver_filter ); user_input = UI::UserInput(); --------------------------------------------------------------- as an attempt to re-set the default to my button but this does not help. My button has initially the focus but after the user had clicked into the InputField to enter a search string, the focus is of course gone and the Enter key is not linked to my button. Therefore my question how to _permanently_ bind the Enter key to a PushButton? Hi, we have added NFSv4 support in yast2-storage. The detected_fs and used_fs in the target-map can be `nfs or `nfs4. Hi, I add link to coding standard to wiki and also rules for commit ( rules for tests ) - http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Web/Development#Development_Conventions I think that we already follow many of these rules, so it is more formalization and place where we can point new developers what they should follow.
