[yast-devel] YaST dns-server module silently failing

Hi all, I have a machine on which the YaST dns-server module is silently failing (no command line output is produced). Fortunately, the server seems to be working, I just can't configure it. I don't want to edit the DNS entries by hand, if possible. Any assistance would be much appreciated. The output on /var/log/messages when restarting named is here [1]. [yast-devel] How to avoid sending nil to dbus

Hi, few bugs in last few days contain problem with sending nil to DBus which crash. Easy way to solve it is to use validations. In restService is BaseModel[1] which povides validation. Usage is same as for ActiveRecord validations [2]. For inspiration how it could look like you can look at time model [3] (I allow nil in validation but then handle it, but if sending empty value doesn't make sense you can force non-nil). Just a reminder, since I just stumbled over it: When writing test cases, focus on testing _your_ model (resp. controller) implementation. Do _not_ try to test e.g. the YaPI, D-Bus, PackageKit itself ! Such tests belong to the package providing the used functions (e.g. YaST for YaPI). Thanks !
