[yast-devel] winssh 3.2.9 and yast (ncurses)

Hi @all! I'ver here some winssh (v3.2.9) clients using yast in ncurses-mode. (don't beat me :D) Is there a way to make this combination look better ? The display is not drawing correctly and some lines stay in the background color. Are there some switches to make the drawing compatible/nicer ? Czech YaST2 team (Prague) meeting 2008-07-29 ============================================ Present: jsrain, jreidinger, juhliarik, kmachalkova, locilka, lslezak, mzugec Absent: jkupec, mvidner, jsuchome Minutes: jsrain Organizational - starting next week, the team meeting will be moved to Thursdays, 1PM Everybody - bugfixing openSUSE and SLES bugs Bootloader update - adaptations to use udevadm instead of udevinfo - discussed GRUB password encryption (GRUB is not available in inst-sys) - perl-Bootloader now handles "none" bootloader - elilo missing on SLED, therefore failed to test uEFI installation; however, uEFI-capable DVD booted properly on available hardware - conversion of LILO settings to GRUB on update Wagon - taken over by locilka - first version committed to SVN Software management - creating symlink to identify base product done - added signature checking of SlideShow (disabled in Beta2, OBS not yet ready) - enhancements of progress (Abort button will respond faster) - disabled autorefresh of remote sources if no network connection available - GPG key import now also shows repository URL Support module - yast2-support - most of the features are in place

[yast-devel] Icon for Confirm::Detection

Hi! I'd like to add the following patch that allows to specify an icon for the hardware detection confirmation dialog. Unfortunatelly, this means the Confirm module API will change. The new API is: boolean Confirm::Detection(string class, string icon_name) If the icon_name is nil, a fallback icon will be used (yast-hardware). I will adapt all modules that reference the API in trunk (network, sound, tv, tune). Any objections to commit? Stano

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, It must have happened recently that some wildcards in Makefiles stopped working as expected or maybe some YaST modules just don't like me anymore ;) Anyway, I had to replace Makefile entries like this one $(wildcard [A-Z]*.ycp [A-Z]*.ycp) with $(wildcard [[:upper:]]*.ycp [[:upper:]]*.ycp) to match files starting with upper-case only. They would match all *.ycp, resp. *.pm files despite starting with lower-case otherwise. Does anybody know why it had worked before? YaSTies, Please, check (and fix) your modules for wrong ending in helps: cd 11.1/source grep -r -i "\.<p>" * 2>/dev/null | grep -v "\.svn" This issue has been reported as a bug #430521 but fixing and reassigning to another YaSTie one by one doesn't work fast enough. I've added some enhancements to the title bar shown by the window manager in yast2-qt. Until now yast2-qt windows had names like YaST, YaST <2>, YaST <3>... That made it difficult to keep an overview of the open YaST modules. Most modules with wizards have there own desktop file with an icon and a list of localized names. The icon has been displayed in the title bar for a long time. The localized name can be used for the window title by now (libyui 2.17.12, qt 2.17.12, yast2 2.17.34). The command to make this happen is pretty simple. Similar to SetDesktopIcon you can use SetDesktopTitle to set the window title of a wizard. Example: Wizard::SetDesktopTitle("lan"); SetDesktopTitle searches for the desktop file in the directory /usr/share/applications/YaST2 and retrieves the localized name. This string is shown in the window title with a prepended "YaST2". If we want to benefit from this enhancement I'd like to ask the maintainers who use wizards to add this single line.
