I'm going to update the libogg package and do some cleanup in the process. My problem is with this: # bug437293 %ifarch ppc64 Obsoletes: libogg-64bit %endif # Is it needed anymore? Probably bnc#437293 isn't security related? [opensuse-packaging] automatic dependencies for perl modules?

Hello, I just stumbled over CPAN::FindDependencies [1]. IMHO this could be a good addition to cpanspec or the RPM perl macros (maybe %perl_requires?) to automatically add all the module dependencies (like "perl:(Foo:Bar)") of a perl module. At the moment it seems I have to add the dependencies manually. However, my perl knownledge is limited and I therefore can't tell if or how good this would work. What do the perl experts think? BTW: If I get the description of CPAN:FindDependencies right, it can check the requirements recursively. The RPMs should of course only include direct requires (maxdepth 1). [opensuse-packaging] openSUSE Invis Server

Hi, some of you might have realised in [1] that there formed a (still) little team of people that works to make the connection between the Invis Server [2] and openSUSE more tight and finally release an openSUSE Invis Server as an openSUSE derivate with own isos etc. The Invis Server is an already existing solution, running in productive environments in the world on top of openSUSE. The core developer, Stefan Schäfer, is part and initiator of the openSUSE Invis Team. Our current plan is to first identify the packages that are needed for Invis Server and push them to Factory as they fit. For others, we'd like to create a repo in OBS to maintain these there. I have two concrete calls for help: 1. Mighty people of the server project in the OBS, please create a subproject server server:Invis where we can put packages. I guess thats the right place? 2. we would appreciate help, especially of packagers. Hello, since when do we have that macro? I don't have it on my oS 11.2/64bit. It breaks (via perl-common-sense) a whole bunch of my perl-packages...
