[opensuse-doc] Need some info to resolve problems for French doc

Hi, I am trying to update the french translation of openSUSE manuals but I have some problems. Hi, the entities &productname; &productnamereg; and &productnumber; used to be resolved by processing instructions, so the product is automatically set to the value defined with the accompanying variables in the DC-file. Although this solution was very convenient, it needed a lot of code in the SUSE stylesheets that was difficult to maintain. Therefore we decided to drop that code with the latest version of the suse-xsl-stylesheets (>= 1.9.6). From now on the entities &productname; &productnamereg; and &productnumber; need to be defined as follows in xml/entity-decl.ent: ------------------- <!ENTITY productname '<phrase os="osuse">&opensuse;</phrase><phrase os="sles">&sls;</phrase><phrase os="sled">&sled;</phrase>'> <!ENTITY productnamereg '<phrase os="osuse">&opensusereg;</phrase><phrase os="sles">&slsreg;</phrase><phrase os="sled">&sledreg;</phrase>'> <!ENTITY productnumber '<phrase os="osuse">12.1</phrase><phrase os="sles;sled">11 SP2</phrase><phrase os="sled">11 SP2</phrase>'> -------------------- The only drawback of this solution is that DocBook4/NovDoc does not allow <phrase> in <literal> and <guimenu>, so you need to fix that in (very few) places. [opensuse-doc] Terminal output

What is the recommended format of terminal output? I expect that <command></command><computeroutput></computeroutput> but want to be in compliance with other authors. Also, its been awhile since I wrote with novdoc; what wrapping/hyphenation directives are available to authors? I've got output that is 100-105 columns wide. [opensuse-doc] How to distribute translated manuals as a part of distribution?

Hello doc, Finally we have completed translations of openSUSE-manual to Japanese (already uploaded to opensuse-doc SVN). So I want them to be distributed via opensuse official repository and make them available online (doc.opensuse.org) .spec file (for .rpm) was already created at OBS home project (OBS > Projects > home:belphegor_belbel) and outputs were checked by myself. What should I do after that? Anyway, some tweaks needed for Japanese PDF (not neededed for HTML); 1. Need italic/bold fonts. Since FOP cannot generate italic(oblique)/bold style from existing fonts (and all existing Japanese fonts does not contain them), I've decided to generate them (by fontforge scripting) before making PDFs. These fonts are packaged with name IPAGothic_BoldItalic in OBS home project (OBS > Projects > home:belphegor_belbel). (This package's publish flag is now off, because this package is not essential one.) 2. Special FOP configs. For Japanese fonts, special configs are needed for FOP (even if normal (not bold/italic) font). This config is now located at opensuse-doc SVN (/svn/opensuse-doc/trunk/documents/distribution/ja/fop-suse-ja.xml). DC-* and ENV-* files were adjusted accordingly. Hi, Revision 8748 (Merged KVM book with SLES 11 SP2 branch to provide the latest version) changed in book_kvm.xml: <xi:include href="libvirt_stor_net.xml" xmlns:xi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XInclude"/> To: <xi:include href="libvirt_storage.xml" xmlns:xi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XInclude"/> But file libvirt_stor_net.xml is still present but there is no libvirt_storage.xml. [opensuse-doc] apparmor-admin_en package - status?

Hello, can someone please clarify the status of the apparmor-admin_en package? Currently it is in factory, but it wasn't touched in the last two years except specfile cosmetics. AFAIK the AppArmor documentation was merged into the security guide some time ago - in other words: the apparmor-admin_en package is probably obsolete. Am I right? Should I file a delete request for apparmor-admin_en? [opensuse-doc] KIWI Documentation

Hi I was just reading the KIWI Documention and I found some parts that need to be renewed since nothing has been done there since 11.3. Now I am thinking that I could give it a try and renew it but is there someone who is more relevant from me to do that so that I will not risk destroy anything? I am more specifically refering to the repositories and also if there are any additions to KIWI since the last time. If someone has that kind of information but hasn't got the time to write it down but he/she could give me informations/guidelines on this, I would gladly do that.
