Maybe this section can go to the LfL or Reference guide, while only the main things remain in startup guide, such as mobile (laptop) hardware, and even then should be moved to "Part I". I have checked... most topics are not covered or poorly covered in SUSE Reference guide as well. Those are the same topic covered excellently at Mandrake (note: Mandrake, not Mandriva, as their current distro is of poor quality and lacks the good documentation they once included in Mandrake Linux 9.2 in year 2003). Speaking of SUSE - there are rumors that SUSE also had better documentation at the past days - but since I haven't saw it I can't judge.... but it would be good to have a look at past SUSE documentation and maybe update and re-introduce new chapters to current docs. [opensuse-doc] GIMP tutorials are lacking

hi all ! I feel that GIMP tutorials are lacking badly in openSUSE... I haven't decided yet where to get them and how-to package them. Possible answer to question 1: at gug.sunsite.dk - currently I'm trying to learn what license they use for tutorials Possible answer to question 2: possibly package them with LfL ? or create a separate package, known as gimp-tutor ? [opensuse-doc] I would like to copy and modify Mandrake Docs into LfL

hi susers ! There is an excellent command-line intro guide for Linux newbies from Mandrake 10.1. I would like to copy and modify it's contents into LfL. What's the best way to do that? The problem is licensing, it's not GFDL, and Mandriva doesn't want to make it GFDL. Should I write all the material from scratch? link: http://www.mandriva.com/fr/community/resources/documentation This docs is SUPER-DUPER important, because newbies don't know the concept of mounting or how-to install software from sources. This book cover all the concepts/basics. Any ideas?
