[opensuse-autoinstall] want to keep first (windoze) partition, but it changes partition type to linux

Hi, I'm installing openSuSE 10.2 on systems with windows installed on /dev/sda1. Autoinstall should create 3 partitions and keep my first partition untouched. This works so far, but autoinstall reproducible changes partition type of windoze partition from 0x7 to 0x83 Linux! Is this a bug? [opensuse-autoinstall] Autoyast install of a Xen Dom0

Hey, all -- I'm trying to port an autoyast config from opensuse 10.1 to 10.2. This particular config installs a xen server -- a dom0, onto which xen virtual servers are installed. In 10.1, I could specify this section in the bootloader config, and it worked fine: <section> <append> resume=/dev/sda1 splash=silent showopts dom0_mem=512M</append> <initrd>/boot/initrd-xen</initrd> <kernel>(hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-xen</kernel> <lines_cache_id>2</lines_cache_id> <name>XEN</name> <original_name>xen</original_name> <root>/dev/md0</root> <type>image</type> <vga>0x317</vga> <xen>/boot/xen.gz</xen> <xen_append>dom0_mem=512M</xen_append> </section> But in 10.2, that config doesn't seem to work. The resulting menu.lst entry is: kernel (hd0,1)/boot/xen.gz dom0_mem=512M initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd-xen Grub tries to boot, but then dies with the complaint that the Linux kernel must be loaded before initrd. Anyone have any pointers to documentation, or suggestions about other things that might be worth trying? [opensuse-autoinstall] Auto disc device + Grub???

Hi I am trying to port the autoyast installation we used on sles9 to sles10 and have run into some issues: When I use the feature that chooses the disk device automatically I get grub errors when I am installing the boxes. I also get an error when saving the autoyast xml file: Error Some schema check failed! Please attach your logfile to bug id 211014 Checking XML with RNG validation... /usr/bin/xmllint --noout --relaxng /usr/share/YaST2/schema/autoyast/rng/profile.rng /tmp/YaST2-17786-Erkcvk/valid.xml /tmp/YaST2-17786-Erkcvk/valid.xml:4: element bootloader: Relax-NG validity error : Element profile has extra content: bootloader /tmp/YaST2-17786-Erkcvk/valid.xml fails to validate What is strange is that the system created this section of the file automatically and I have not tampered with it. Can anyone suggest a way around this? [opensuse-autoinstall] problems using autoyast

Hello, I've an problem concerning autoyast: My customised CD behaves very well if I remove the autoyast=file:///autoinst.xml which i append to the grub options. But if I add this, I get this error msg: Could not find openSuSE Installation Source Activating manual setup program. (See attached screenshot). If I hit 5 times enter the gui starts and autoyast install everything as expected. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong here?
