The Hardware is: CPU: Athlon64 3000+ Board: MSI K8T Neo Bios is the newest. In /var/log/messages there are following details: rcpowersaved: CPU frequency scaling is not supported by your processor. rcpowersaved: enter 'POWERSACE_CPUFREQD_MODULE=off' in /etc/sysconfig/powersave/common to avoid this warning. in /var/log/boot.log there are no entys In Windows the cpu runs at 1000mhz when there is no load and the vcore is reduced as well. so far so good... Is there a possibility to configure manually that frequency scaling is possible? Or are there any other solutions? The powersaving feature is nice for me because next month I want to set up 100 athlon64 systems. And then saving power saves money... :) Thanks for your help! Thomas

subFS problem

YOU fails to work after 9.1 install

Here's the deal: 1. Upgrade to 9.1 from 9.0. Works great. Yeah! 2. Run You. Many updates, but the server's busy so I have to skip some such as the updated kernel. 3. Install what I get. Try to run you again. I get this error message: /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib64/liby2pm.so.2: undefined symbol: _2NE3Rep9rep_TotalE Is there a fix, or am I your first ;-P Dave

Am having a problem with an Apple Xserve RAID box connected to my recently build SuSE AMD64 server. Basically, i got the latest (SuSE 8.x) x86_64 driver for the Apple FiberChannel Card (actually made by LSIlogic) and installed that...i'm running SuSE 9.0 w/ update CD so I can use the SATA drive. System Details: Tyan 2885, dual 242 Opterons, 4GB RAM Kernel: 2.4.21-215-smp #1 SMP Tue Apr 27 16:26:32 UTC 2004 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Here's what my array looks like to SuSE: Disk /dev/sdb1: 752.9 GB, 752983225344 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 91544 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes System works, I was able to create a 700GB RAID 5 slice, make a 700GB file system and then copy about 30 Gigs to it. Upgrade to amd64 from 32bit

Hi! I have an amd64 box without a DVD drive. 9.1 amd64 was on a dvd. So I installed the 32 bit version, and I was wondering if I can ?upgrade? (sidegrade) to the amd64 version. If so, how? I don't have a floppy, but I could hook it up to a network and access the AMD64 DVD from it. TIA R.

Hi there! Since a few days I've got a new AMD Athlon 64 3200+ System and I have installed SuSE 9.1. Nearly everthing works perfect, but the system runs only with 800 MHz (!?!?) CPU clockrate.
