Using golang buildinfo when building in OBS?

Hi all, I found regclient today and packaged it: > https://github.com/regclient/regclient > https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:ojkastl_buildservice:Branch_Vi… Unfortunately, the version output is broken, as the package uses the go debug.buildinfo internally: > https://github.com/regclient/regclient/blob/410091ab2d89e76ffa039f36e569547… $ regctl version VCSTag: 0.6.1 VCSRef: unknown VCSCommit: unknown VCSState: unknown VCSDate: unknown Platform: linux/amd64 GoVer: go1.22.5 GoCompiler: gc $ No matter what I do, I cannot get it to properly show the version. I changed the _service file to include the .git directory (in both obs_scm and the buildtime tar repackaging) and made sure git-core was installed. But it errors out with the generic "error obtaining VCS status: exit status 128" error that means that something went wrong with git. My guess is that git cannot reach the remote, due to being offline in OBS. Removing the remote before building (git remote remove origin) does not solve this issue. So, besides patching the file to have the actual desired information init, is there a way to get "go build" to spit out a binary containing the debuginfo? I tried various combinations of options and ldflags for the go build command, but to no avail. Any ideas, anyone? Kind Regards, Johannes

Language package

Hello, I try to package RKWard R GUI (test version with support for KF6), it's in <https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:vojtaeus/rkward> I also cleaned some reports by spec-cleaner and discarded conditions for older Leap versions. So far so good. One problem I don't get is creation on -lang package and handling of translation files. In current spec file I simply list all language etc. files in main package and not surprisingly I get bunch of "W: file-not-in-%lang". So according to <https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Conventions_RPM_Macros#%find_lang> and below I try to create the -lang package, but I doubt it works as designed. :-( The spec file is at <https://paste.opensuse.org/pastes/0dedba5f9e9c> I'd expect that after "%files lang -f %{name}.lang" (line 141) I don't have to list all files (lines 124-446) --- if I remove these lines, packaging fails with "error: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found:" Could anyone, please, advice me what do I do wrong? Do I have to list translation files for the -lang package manually? Sincerely, V. But I cannot for the life of me remember or find it again. Any hints for easing my troubled mind are highly welcome... Kind Regards, Johannes

u-boot with TPM

Hi, I need a u-boot package for Raspberry Pi 4 with TPM / Soft SPI configuration as shown here: https://github.com/joholl/rpi4-uboot-tpm/blob/ad31306ce2f2d52f0572385bfc8ba… Otherwise, tpm2_pcrread shows blank PCR values. Would it be possible to enable this for the current u-boot-rpi4 package, or can we package a separate package with a name such as "u- boot-rpi4-tpm" which has this specific configuration? I have a fork here which already does it: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:jonaski:vendanor/u-boot And how do I solve this? "unresolvable: nothing provides %prjconf_multibuild_selection" without removing "BuildRequires: %prjconf_multibuild_selection". Jonas

Using update-alternatives in baselibs.conf post scriptlets

Hi, Could someone kindly explain how one gets update-alternatives to work correctly with baselibs.conf generated packages? The only documentation I have seen [1] is rather sparse and does not go into this specific issue involving running update-alternatives as post(in/un) in baselibs.conf itself. I am trying to take care of the apparently incorrect packaging of *-32bit biarch libraries for lapack, which currently have 0-byte files instead of the intended update-alternatives symlinks. More details in this bug report [2]. My ongoing efforts to resolve this may be seen in my branch project [3]. I have tried to run update-alternatives in the baselibs.conf file itself or even simply running `ln -sf` to create a symlink target to the actual location of the library. None of these work, always ending up with a 0-byte file in place of the intended symlink. This looks to be the case also for some other packages, say, ocl-icd [4] which also uses update-alternatives in its post-scripts and whose -32bit packages also end up with 0-byte files. Ignoring an error during %{cargo_test} (or: how to get youki tests to not error out because of missing dbus)?

Hi all, I stumbled upon youki today and thought I'' sharpen my rust packaging skills. Voilá! > https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:ojkastl_buildservice:Branch_Vi… However, the package only builds fine because I disabled the %checks due to three errors (details see below). Is there a way to ignore some checks when running %{cargo_test}? Maybe like "%pytest -k (not some-test)" or similar? Or does anyone know how to fix the error below, that seems to be from a missing/failing/broken dbus connection inside the build vm? Have a nice weekend, everyone! Right location for archful shared libraried

Hi, I'm currently trying to package https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/monado/utilities/vulkan-layers for OpenSUSE Tumbleweed(x86_64), the package provides two files VkLayer_MND_enable_timeline_semaphore.json and libVkLayer_MND_enable_timeline_semaphore.so, the shared Library is 64-bit, having the library in /usr/lib64 causes issues in some games(can give more details in necessary) and i was able to fix said issues by moving the library to /usr/lib, I was wandering if this should be avoided or not.
