[opensuse-packaging] Howto Rebuild clamav srpm requiring sendmail on system with postifx?

This may be a simple question, But I want to rebuild clamav from the source rpm which requires sendmail as a dependency on a system that uses postfix. sendmail conflicts with postfix. What is the best option? Upload new source rpm to buildservice and build there? Or is there a chroot build environment that I can setup to build in with rpmbuild that won't affect the running system when it installs sendmail for the build? I can create the new source rpm easily with rpmbuild -bs, but that's where I'm stuck. -- David C. [opensuse-packaging] Renaming a package: what about lang and debuginfo?

Hello, I'm attempting to rename Xfce Panel Plugin packages in openSUSE to follow the name xfce4-foo-plugin instead of xfce4-panel-plugin-foo. I understand that this is needed in the spec file. Provides: xfce4-panel-plugin-foo = %{version} Obsoletes: xfce4-panel-plugin-foo < %{version} What do I need to do about the -lang, -debuginfo and -debugsource packages which seem to be automatically generated? [opensuse-packaging] how to make xfce4-screensaver smoothly replace xscreensaver?

Hello, I need to ask for some package transition advise please. We are going to introduce xfce4-screensaver by default in openSUSE Xfce replacing xscreensaver. Swapping the packages in the pattern is the easy part however because xscreensaver is not automatically being replaced and both daemons end up running at the same time, when suspending the system, both xfce4-screensaver and xscreensaver lockers are loaded on the screen. Any advise on how to make the transition happen without using "Conflicts"?
