I'm trying to update lilypond via web ui but I had to load the tarball direct via url due to my lack of pc and cli osc. The result is factory automatically rejects the sr due to a non local service. I deleted _service and was pleased to see that the package still built but factory autobuild reject the submit request because the tarball still contains "servicedownload:" in it's name although there aren't any services present. There's no way that I can see to rename it either. [opensuse-packaging] Anyone interested in maintaining ntfs-3g_ntfsprogs?

Hi, ntfs-3g_ntfsprogs (living in the filesystems project) is the set of tools to interact with ntfs. It's the merge of ntfs-3g (user-space ntfs support) and ntfsprogs (mkntfs & friends). For historical reasons, the GNOME team was assigned as maintainer of this package. When I moved the package to filesystems (since it didn't belong to GNOME:Factory), I became the maintainer. However, I have no use for it, and I don't even have anything in ntfs here. Is there anyone who'd like to become the new maintainer of this package? The main work is really just to update it to new upstream versions. Upstream is doing a good job at providing something rather solid. Hi, In my recent request for the shorewall package to factory with the SR#131525 Andreas Jaeger has declined the request with the following comment, therefore I am bringing the discusssion to the packaging list "Why are you running configure as part of the %install section? This is not normal, it should be part of the %build section. If this is really correct, then document why it is done this way - or let's discuss on opensuse-packaging how to do this better. Thanks, Andreas " First of let me clarify the process, as the configure command is not actually a configure thing, but to set the install variables to the shorewall install program, and this is approach is the same way upstream rpm specs which are for each shorewall package separately and by fedora packages at koji <http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=341839> and for RHEL releases by <http://www.invoca.ch/pub/packages/shorewall/RPMS/ils-5/SRPMS/>. Therefore as the maintainer, I have followed the same approach as upstream and other package maintainers and to maintain one spec file for the whole shorewall system also used the combined approach. I am behind my logic of doing the packaging the way it is, but I am open to suggestions as well. [opensuse-packaging] Rpmlint warning for hicolor-icon-theme is it valid and how do I get rid of it?

Hi, I'm the maintainer of the OpenLP package and it has a depency on hicolor-icon-theme. I'm trying to clean up all the rpmlint warnings and I can't figure out how to get rid of this one. OpenLP.noarch: W: suse-branding-unversioned-requires hicolor-icon-theme Please make sure that your requires entry reads like 'Requires: %name-branding = <versionnumber>'. Is this a bogus warning? In which case I'll filter it out in rpmlintrc, or is it valid and I need to depend on something else? I've search Google, the mailing lists and the forum and I haven't been able to find an answer. [opensuse-packaging] OCaml help please

Probably have mostly the same people on the obs list and the packaging list, but never the less I will try my luck here as well. I have a couple of requests/questions in "cleaning up" OCaml related packages and a problem. 1.) Since we have top level devel:languages:ocaml project can we please move everything that is ocaml related and maintained devel:languages:misc into the ocaml project? 2.) Do we have anyone that is really interested in OCaml or do we just have what we have because other projects/packages depend on the few packages we do have? in d:l:ocaml the ocaml package is a link to the package in Factory. The devel project for factory is d:l:misc. Because of local mods in d:l:ocaml the link is busted due to merge conflicts. This breaks other packages in d:l:ocaml. I have no idea how to fix this as every time I try to touch any of these packages to get something fixed I get a stupid: buildinfo is broken... it says: type of message. This is of course complete crap as it prevents a person trying to fix something from fixing it. In addition to the gripes above I have a problem that I am stuck on and could also use some help with. I am trying to build ocamlnet which depends on pcre. The build process failes with this error: ocamlfind ocamlc -g -I ../../src/netstring -package "unix" -custom -o ocamlrpcgen -package unix,netstring \ rpc_generator.cma main.cmo -linkpkg /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.6/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lpcre_stubs collect2: ld returned 1 exit status File "_none_", line 1, characters 0-1: Error: Error while building custom runtime system make[1]: *** [ocamlrpcgen] Error 2 Knowing nothing about OCaml build and link processes I can only infer things. Obviously the process calls ld to link a binary and passes -lpcre_stubs, this would require the presence of libpcre_stubs.so somewhere in the default search directories of ld. However, the package ocaml-pcre does not provide this, it provides a dllpcre_stubs.so file in a none-standard location (%{_libdir}/ocaml/stublibs). Should ocaml-pcre create and provide a link %{_libdir}/libpcre_stubs.so to {_libdir}/ocaml/stublibs/dllpcre_stubs.so, or maybe a link in %{_libdir}/ocaml/stublibs and then a -L argument on the link line? Or is there some trick that ocamlfind is supposed to play for me? Help is as always appreciated.
