[opensuse-packaging] Migration of configuration files?

Hi, With sabayon 2.29.5, the location of configuration files have changed. The migration is quite simple: cp /etc/desktop-profiles/*.xml /etc/sabayon/ cp /etc/desktop-profiles/*.zip /etc/sabayon/profiles/ I'm wondering if this is something that should be done in the package scriptlets, or not. I know we usually don't want to touch configuration files, but here, it's really just moving them. Is this something we should do, or is this a bad idea? Hi, I've come across my first license problem with ghostscript-8.70, it has switched to GPL v3. There are a lot of packages that depend on ghostscript, lilypond being one and apparently TeXLive sub packages. How are problems like this resolved. Having an old ghostscript version isn't good for attracting people to the distro. I'm totally in the dark about these things but as a packager I need to know about them. Hi, I am attempting to create a package for a kernel module and would like to get rid of some or all RPMLINT warnings. Hi, The question is somewhat of topic, but not completely in left field. Is there a way to figure out the version of a previously installed package with the same base name in the %pre and %post sections of the spec. The idea is that if a release upgrade is being performed command A needs to be run and if a version upgrade is performed command B needs to be run. Using this osc and the new build.rpm from same project you can build products now faster than ever via osc build images i586 --linksource I want to push out this release also a official maintenance release again in 1-2 weeks.
