[opensuse-kernel] Kernel:HEAD dtb-source not getting rebuilt for 4.8

Hi, We have aarch64 kernel-{source,default} 4.8.rc4 built now, but dtb-source and dtb-aarch64 are still at 4.7.0 and in published state. Might this be caused by the ARM repository being configured as rebuild="local"? We need to have all dtb-* packages rebuilt whenever the kernel sources change, and kernel-source does not look excluded from use-for-build... [opensuse-kernel] OOM killer in 4.7

It happend now the third time that the OOM killer kicks in with current TW and kernel 4.7. This never happend with my selfcompiled 4.5. Any idea if FireFox just leaks memory and deserves to die, or if the kernel is broken? Olaf

[opensuse-kernel] sd card issue on Acer Aspire R11

Hi, I have a laptop Acer Aspire R11 running leap 42.1. In order to have everything working I need to run it with a recent kernel. Right now I'm using the last kernelstable (4.7.3). The only issue remaining is the sd card not being detected. In bug 954532 comments 24-26 it is reported that this issue is due to a module ordering problem. I have created a file in /etc/dracut.conf.d containing: add_drivers+=" pinctrl-cherryview" kernel_cmdline="rd.driver.pre=pinctrl_cherryview" and with that the sd card reader is working properly. I was just wondering if this problem can be fixed in the upcoming Leap 42.2 so everything will work out of the box. [opensuse-kernel] USB flash don't work with MSI 760GM-P21(FX) (MS-7641) & kernel ≥ 3.16

Hello! Sorry if off-topic. It isn't a bugreport. It is a request for help to write a bug report. Recently I've upgraded my PC from Biostar TF560 A2+ to MSI 760GM-P21(FX) (MS-7641) and found USB flash drives not working. `lsusb` output is just fine, `dmesg` repeats "usb 2-5: reset high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-pci". The issue reproduces at openSUSE 13.2 (desktop-3.16), Leap 42.1 (vanilla- & default-4.1) & TW (default-4.7) but it can't be reproduced at openSUSE 13.1 (desktop-3.12) & Kubuntu 16.04.01 (4.4). STR: openSUSE, kernel ≥ 3.16, MSI 760GM-P21(FX) (MS-7641), any USB flash drive. Expected result: /dev/sdxN, mounting etc. Actual result: sometimes there are no /dev/sdxN only /dev/sdx is present, sometimes /dev/sdxN is present but can't be mounted with timeout error, sometimes it can be mounted but file operations (`ls`) take minutes. `dmidecode` output is attached. Looks like git-2.10 has changed behaviour, which affects scripts/install-git-hooks: kerncvs.kernel-source.branch $ scripts/log /usr/lib/git/git-sh-setup: line 6: git-sh-i18n: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden /usr/lib/git/git-sh-setup: line 93: eval_gettext: command not found Not sure if users of git-sh-setup have to be updated or if this is a bug in git. [opensuse-kernel] initrd generation during RPM install

I thought we have deferred initrd generation to posttrans.
