man dracut.conf lists these: Adding dracut Modules Omitting dracut Modules Adding Kernel Modules Why is there no section for omitting kernel modules? IOW, how do kernel modules and dracut modules differ WRT to initrd content? I want never used modules left out for a multitude of reasons, e.g. lvm, dmraid, plymouth, resume, btrfs. [opensuse-kernel] 32 bit kernel-desktop missing

kernel-desktop-3.14.0-2.2.x86_64.rpm has nothing corresponding for 32 bit in http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/. Is this on purpose? Hallo, I work with XEN in opensuse 12.3, there is no ndiswrapper module in the XEN-Kernel-Version. In the DEFAULT- and DESKTOP-Version from this Kernel 3.7.10-1.28 the ndiswrapper module is inside and it works very well with WLAN-Fritz-USB-Stick. What is the reason for no ndiswrapper in XEN-Kernel ? What can I do to have a XEN-Kernel with the module ndiswrapper which works ? with kind regards W. Disable ARM_AT91_ETHER in all arm config files, it is only needed on Atmel AT91 which we don't support. CONFIG_MACB is useful on armv6hl/default (for ARCH_PICOXCELL) and armv7hl/default (for ARCH_ZYNQ.) [opensuse-kernel] USB_DWC3 support in armv7hl kernels

Hi Guillaume, Both armv7hl/default and armv7hl/lpae kernel config files have: CONFIG_ARCH_KEYSTONE=y So it looks like these kernel flavors are supposed to support the TI Keystone2 platform. However, USB_DWC3 is disabled on both, while this driver has a sub-option CONFIG_USB_DWC3_KEYSTONE dedicated to the Keystone2 platform. So I suspect that we should change armv7hl/default and armv7hl/lpae to: CONFIG_USB_DWC3=m CONFIG_USB_DWC3_KEYSTONE=m and one of CONFIG_USB_DWC3_HOST, CONFIG_USB_DWC3_GADGET or CONFIG_USB_DWC3_DUAL_ROLE. What do you think? Same would probably apply to armv7hl/exynos with CONFIG_USB_DWC3_EXYNOS. Would it make sense to enable TTY_PRINTK? It can be used to redirect the system console to the same channel printk uses (write-only, of course), eg. it can be used to capture user-level console messages via netconsole (which doesn't provide a tty device on its own). Hi Guillaume, I have noticed that all the openSUSE arm kernel configuration files include a few drivers which are specific to the Exynos platform. I would expect to only find these drivers selected in the armv7hl/exynos configuration file.
