[opensuse-kernel] How do I automate setting .config entries to "n"

Hello, I get this abort message such as this example when compiling a package which involves a kernel. and the .config file. It always ends in 'aborted' at the end like this. "Texas Instruments ADS7871 A/D converter (SENSORS_ADS7871) [N/m/y/?] (NEW) aborted!" or "Compile Remote Controller keymap modules (RC_MAP) [M/n/?] (NEW) aborted!" It falls over on a diferrent line in the .config each time I submit a rebuild. This is a slow process doing one item at a time. Question. Is is possible to automatically set it so that (NEW) entries are set and stored in the .config like this CONFIG_{itemname}=n Thanks Glenn - So far its been a case of append the value to the .config eg CONFIG_RC_MAP=n - Then submit the build again, wait and encocounter the error on another .config entry. Here is a small list I struck so far. I added them in one at a time to the .config and submit another build. Its a slow process. [opensuse-kernel] git bisecting help...

ifolder3 does not work anymore with 2.6.36 kernels but worked fine with 2.6.34. I filed already this bug but it seems nobody knows how to tackle this: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=639470 So, I'd like to do some bisecting between 2.6.34 and 2.6.36 to figure out which commit broke this. What is the best way doing this? Trying bisection of Linus' tree or using our kernel git repository? Is there any good documentation that will guide me through this? [opensuse-kernel] CROSS_COMPILE parameter not recognised

[opensuse-kernel] Current upstream kernel in OBS?

I just found the Kernel:Vanilla repository that contains a 2.6.32 kernel. ;-( Could somebody clean this one up, please? Where do we track the upstream vanilla kernel? Is it possible for me to just download every day current git compiled as rpm and install it? [opensuse-kernel] Help need to boost samba perf

Hi all, actually having a openSUSE 11.3 server installed, we face a strange trouble. Each samba transfer ( cifs, smbfs kde or gnome, or from xp/w2k3 ) doesn't goes more than 25MB/s If we start 2 transfer the 2 are running at 25MB/s max. Doing other network transfert (bacula, nfs, ftp) run all at the gigabit link limit of 125MB/s in read or write. (disks can run at ~350 Read write at the same times) I've exported the sysctl -a param here http://susepaste.org/90797401 I'm asking here first, as many posts and examples are talking about tpc window or other kernel trick. Hi All, I would like to fix Bug 551799 - Dosemu doesn't start except from root account which is caused by Apparmor code in kernel.
