[opensuse-autoinstall] Exporting users during installation

Hello, I need to clone the installation information to be used with autoyast. there is a module called AutoinstClone that can export this information, it reads the Profile::current data and exports this information using XML::YCPToXMLFile module. This profile contains an entry for users, but this entry only contains the root user, if i create one user called "leonardo" during the installation it doesn't appear in this profile. Does anyone knows how to export the information about this initial user created during installation? i need to create this autoyast file automatic, i really need to do it during the installation process without user interference. [opensuse-autoinstall] merging of <package> doesn't work

Hi, I'm adding two profiles in rules.xml, both contain <packages> and <remove-packages> entries (and addon produtcs). I'm adding the second profile as: <rule> ... <result> <profile>profiles/sled-only.xml</profile> <continue config:type="boolean">true</continue> <dont_merge config:type="list"> <element>listentry</element> <element>package</element> </dont_merge> </result> </rule> Merging of the two add_on_product listentries works fine, but the packages are not merged. E.g. I have <packages config:type="list"> <package>sendmail</package> </packages> in the first profile and <packages config:type="list"> <package>lilo</package> </packages> in the sled-only.xml. But lilo is not added and in y2log I see only "software":$["packages":["sendmail"]] although at some point earlier I find AutoInstallRules.ycp:590 user defined dont_merge for rules found. dontmerge is ["listentry", "package"] When merge the two xml files manually according to your blog, i.e. with /usr/bin/xsltproc --novalid --param replace "'false'" --param dontmerge1 "'package'" --param with "'sled-only.xml'" --output out.xml /usr/share/autoinstall/xslt/merge.xslt lmu.xml then out.xml contains the merge: <ns1:packages config:type="list"> <package>sendmail</package><package>lilo</package> </ns1:packages> Am I doing sth. wrong? cu, Frank -- Dipl.-Inform. Hello list, today I wondered why after an installation I didnt get the "ssh host key changed" when slogin in a newly installed system. Does autoyast keeps the keys from a previously installed system? At least it looks like that, because the keys are some month old. Where is this configured? [opensuse-autoinstall] Installation Problems with pxeboot and dhcpcd

Hallo, i get trouble with automatic installation. pxeboot get an ip address by dhcp server and is downloading the linux kernel and initrd. After booting the install kernel the dhcpcd failed because of deactivating the networkcard. The network module is succesfully loaded. If i do installing by dvd and typing in: install=http... and autoyast=http... everything is working well. The installloader get an Ip by dhcp server. The linux kernel and initrd are the same on dvd and in the /tftpboot folder. Please give me some hints. [opensuse-autoinstall] running zypper in postinstall scripts

hi, I try to run zypper in our postinstall scripts, but it always fail with: "System management is locked by the application with pid 5141 (y2base)." [opensuse-autoinstall] Continuous reboot by autoyast/zzz_reboot

hi, I'm installing SLED11 machines using autoyast and most of them are continuously rebooting after the installation is finished. As I guess, it is /etc/init.d/autoyast that executes /var/adm/autoinstall/init.d/zzz_reboot all the time. [opensuse-autoinstall] Does autoyast run the rules process before ask?

Hi, I have searched everywhere and I can't find this documented clearly. When the rules processing is done by autoyast, I can supply a custom1 class based upon a shell script. I have an ask section in the autoyast profile that queires the user for the type of install to be done. Based upon that value that I store to a file on the temporary ramdisk (/mnt), I want to have the rule get the right class to merge. But the docs don't really say whether the rule is executed before or after the ask. If ask does run afterwards, how can I get a user supplied value that can be queried by the rule/calls based scripts? And the docs say thathe rules/class script can check for things like host IP and such. But how can the IP exist of the autoinstall hasn't run yet? Unless I am reading the docs incorrectly and the autoyast profile runs, then the rules are evaluated? So I could have my ask get the user's asnwer, put it in the file on the ramdisk and have rules/class sectin query the file? Thanks for any help. [opensuse-autoinstall] all installed packages are not included in 11.1 reference profile

Hello, It seems that all installed packages are not included in a newly created reference profile under 11.1. For example, my initial manual installation included the packages lftp and findutils-locate, however the reference profile I created on that system did not include those packages, nor were those packages included on an autoinstalled system using that profile.
