solved the problem was the original size. Hello I'm in trouble... I need pdf file to send to a banner maker. I have an inkscape file *and* the pdf file saved with inkscape. see the last files in http://dodin.org/opensuse/artwork/ the pdf file opens in okular ans evince, but *not* in acrobat reader!! (and subsequently not in my mozilla, don't know what is your pdf plugin) i don't have this problem with libreoffice pdf files (early numbers on the page) atention: the file is for a banner, so the dimension are very large (200x40 cm) - this don't make it a big file in vector graphics :-) do you know some solution? [opensuse-artwork] Thoughts on openSUSE Conference Name

Folks, I'm sending this to both the marketing and artwork mailing lists as an action item from the openSUSE Conference Program Committee's last meeting. In a nutshell, we have two names proposed for the Conference: "Collaboration Across Borders II" and "rwxrwxrwx" (or rwx3) which is a play on the read-write-execute permissions of the Linux file systems. While the Program Committee will ultimately choose which one to select, we felt it was fair to talk to both the marketing and artwork teams to hear which ones you consider more feasible for marketability. To the Marketing Team: Think about what would be the pros and cons of marketing the conference for each of the names. For the artwork team: Think about the potential designs you could work with for each name. E.g. t-shirts, posters, banners. You can even do mockups if you wish, but please don't spend a lot of time making up design proposals because I wouldn't want to see your work go to waste if we go a different way. You can read my thoughts on the naming choices for some personal insight on my blog at http://www.bryen.com/whats-in-a-name/. I received some comments from our corporate marketing team and they noticed that: * openSUSE must have a registered trademark symbol (R) * There must also be a registered trademark symbol (R) next to the geeko image. Typically this is placed small, next to its front foot. (Attached is a PDF of how the openSUSE and geeko logo is supposed to appear. They don't have to be stacked on top of each other as the PDF shows, but the attached file shows how the registered trademark symbols are to appear.) It seems that we're not consistent in this usage. Is there any wiki page that documents the above? Please update them and tell me which ones they are! Let's use the (R) in the future for both geeko and openSUSE!
