There is strenghth in numbers! Please take a moment and send the request to them, it can only help!
I requested several times a 64 bit flash player for Firefox at Macromedia.
If its OK for you, I put the link here:
Thunderbird 1.0.2 (20050317)
Linux 2.6.8-24.13 AMD64 GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.2)
I cannot use the scanner on my hp 6110 combination
FACS, printer, scanner, copier.
(The printer is fine, the copier is stand alone, and I don't use the FACS.)
SANE produces the message "no device available".
The help and documentation implies that the "backend" may not be installed.
I cannot find the mentioned module sane-dll.
I understand the idea that a "backend" is required, but I have no idea
how to test/provide for same.
I checked the hpoj web site but cannot determine which driver I ought to use,
and there appears to be no mention of a 64 bit version.
I am running SuSE 9.1 on AMD64.
Thanks for any ideas.

Some help from all ?
Hi, I'm here again.
Yesterday I have read and read and I have found that if I stop
powernowd deamon and
#echo 800000 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_setspeed
My CPU go to 800Mhz and stopped it to 800Mhz.
If i start powernowd deamon the cpu go immediately to 2000Mhz and
never under this value.
I think that is a problem with configuration of powernowd deamon.
Any help ?
Any more info to give to you ?

It's pushing it. I've seen my AMD64 notebook hug that temperature a few
times, but that is only when I have it runnung high intense apps with it
unplugged or in charging state due to battery heat; running at 100%
capacity at all times.
You may want to have the cooling system and fan checked out.
