User preferences has saved searches:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=saved-searches
When I click on it, then for a listed search I click on "edit":
https://bugzilla.novell.com/query.cgi?chfieldto=Now&email1=mrmazda%40ij.net…
That click opens the query. I make the necessary change, but there is nothing
apparent to click on to save the change instead of running the query.
Most of my saved searchs are invalid, because the incorporate the email
address current at the time they were created, not the currently valid
Bugzilla address. How do I fix these?

Hi,
it would be great to update "Terms of site"
(http://en.opensuse.org/Terms_of_site) wiki page. There still figure
Novell. I'm preparing Czech translation and I'm not sure what to
substitute under Novell, Inc. Should it be SUSE or openSUSE Project
(according to openSUSE:License article)?
Thanks.

I apologize if this is not the correct way to respond to this thread.
I'm the Bugzilla developer for http://bugzilla.novell.com and I'd like to apologize for the lack of communication regarding this issue.
Bugzilla does in fact use the Access Manager authentication system, meaning the same login through Bugzilla will get you into a number of services, such as the OpenSUSE forum. There is no persistence with the login for security reasons, though there has been discussions about increasing the length before a session timeout.
>From what I can tell, bugzilla.redhat.com uses one of the built in authentication methods for Bugzilla, meaning all sessions are handled by Bugzilla itself. Bugzilla has, as this time, only two available session lengths: indefinite and browser session. Our Bugzilla configuration is currently set at browser session, but since Access Manager handles its own sessions, the actual login session length is under its control, so the browser session will lose its "logged in" status if the browser is on longer than that. Switching Bugzilla to indefinite session length would not fix this issue, as Access Manager's session length will still take precedence, resulting in an even more annoying situation for anyone using Bugzilla.
I have been in talks with the Access Manager team to find solutions to these session timeouts, including decoupling the two timeouts, and we will be exploring these options shortly after we have completed upgrading the Bugzilla systems, which includes improvements to the Access Manager experience.
I hope this information proves useful.

That bug was originally filed at request of AJ here:
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2012-03/msg00235.html
More specifically:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=753203
"Please make Bugzilla easier on openSUSE users"
paraphrasing comment 0 (for those lacking access):
1-multiple URLs for each bug bloat and clutter browser history
2-dismal login persistence
This bug will be two years old next month, and has yet to draw its first comment.
Part of its lack of attention is probably is that it is one of those secret
bugs reachable only by Novell employees, which makes it akin to a chicken &
egg problem.
Lack of login persistence bothers me most. Login is a slow process, a problem
of its own, like the slowness of bugzilla.novell.com generally. Since login
needs to be repeated multiple times each day by those casually working
through bug follow-up, it makes absence of persistence even more annoying.
Novell's own bugs aren't reachable except to a limited audience anyway, so
why does everyone working openSUSE bugs need to be subjected to rapid
timeout? What exactly is the risk from having login last at least the
duration of a browser session?
Bugzilla.redhat.com doesn't impose such trouble on Fedora users. Why can't
bugzilla.novell.com be at least somewhat like it?

Hi,
I sent this to the involved journalists yesterday....
Intro about who am I [...]
1.- SUSE has not only NOT decreased the number of SUSE employees working on
openSUSE Release, but we have increased it. There is no plan to change that.
2.- We are not focusing our work in other areas. What we are doing is
improving Factory, the integration phase of the openSUSE Release.
3.- Hence SUSE's compromise with the next openSUSE Releases has not changed.
If you have any further questions regarding this issue, please do not hesitate
to contact me by mail or visit our booth at FOSDEM.
