I used to set my repos to widehat instead of download for better average
speed. Around the time of the catastrophic RAID failure widehat became
frequently unavailable. Just now doing 'zypper ref', download pointed me to
widehat for the updates repo, and after 113166 bytes read, curl couldn't
finish. What has happened to widehat?

there is a bad link for downloading openSUSE in "Introduction to openSUSE 12.2.odp". The link opensuse.org/Download refers to deleted page...

Hi all,
I just saw a user on the forum noting that 'Discover it' on
http://www.opensuse.org/de/ links to http://en.opensuse.org/Main_Page
instead of http://de.opensuse.org/Hauptseite
Another thing I noticed when checking this is that 'Screenshots' still
has Images of 11.4 on all languages.
Can someone with the permissions please look into this?
Thanks,

Have a lot of fun!
Hi,
I tried to make new layout of Czech wiki MainPage based on Template:Portal. I know, no other language wiki has this layout at MainPage, so what do you think? Is it better? Or should I return to classic page as is in English wiki?
Next thing is, that GetIt button is ugly on this page (except www.opensuse.org) and quite out-of-date because of PPC media. What about to try make a new image? Can anybody do it?
Thanks for replies.

Hi,
I add a few codes into frontpage.js in landing-page
here they are:
// dynamic change counter
$(document).ready(function() {
var path = $(location).attr('href');
// 24 = http://www.opensuse.org/
if (path.length > 24) {
// should return string like "cn" "ja" "fr"
path = path.substring(path.lastIndexOf("/")-2);
path = path.substring(0,path.length-1);
//test if the counter exists
var counter = new Image();
counter.src = "http://counter.opensuse.org/medium."+path+".png";
if (counter.width > 0) {
$("h1").css("background-image","http://counter.opensuse.org/medium."+path+".png");
}
}
});
basically it'll at first detect if default en page, if not, then see
if the local counter exists, if exists, then change the English
counter with the local one.
Enjoy!
Anyone please merge pull request 2 at
https://github.com/openSUSE/landing-page/pulls
