IDE_SCSI?

I am a new to SuSE, and don't understand how setup my ATAPI CD RW under SuSE7.2. There are some help in Suse website, but it did not help me much. Here what I did: 1. Open " /etc/init.d/boot.local " file and add " /sbin/modprobe ide-scsi" 2. ln -sf /dev/scd0 /dev/cdrom I does not work! When I do " /cdrecorder -scanbus" it can't find " scsi" diver. Do I have to recompile the kernel with SCSI emulation support? Thanks.
