hi i try the kernel 2.4.11-pre5 + packet-2.4.11-pre4 , when i use the HP 8230e (USB CDRW) , i can mount cdrw with the iso9660 , but i pktsetup & mount cdrw with the udf , i mkdir or copy a file to the cdrw , the system dead , and show ... usb-uhci.c : ENXIO 80000380 , flags 8 , urb c6bf8120 , burb c6bf8320 usb-uhci.c : ENXIO 80000300 , flags 0 , urb c6bf83a0 , burb c6bf8320 .... and the cdrw can not be use on the M$ DirectCD , i need format to use , is it a bug about the usb-storage ?

wrong bh size with 2.4.10

Hi, Using 2.4.10 with the patch from http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/patches/ I have found that, when trying to run mkudf, mke2fs or anything else that works directly with the block device (such as setting up a loop device on it) on /dev/pktcdvd0, I just get lots of 'wrong bh size' messages in my dmesg output and nothing gets written to the disc. However, the driver seems to work fine with CDs prepared (ie. mkfs'd) under earlier versions - they can be mounted and accessed normally. Has anyone else seen this? Stephen

pktsetup fails

Hi there, i just compiled everything, formatted the disk and then... It seems as pktsetup won't recognize my cdrom or something... if I try with /dev/pktcdvd0 it tells me 'no such device or address', with /dev/pktcd0 it finds the right cdrom, but then tells me 'Inapropriate ioctl for device'. Formatting was no problem... Kernel is 2.4.10, pktcd version is 2.4.10-2 CD-RW Drive is LITEON 16x-10x-40x Thanks for help... Chris

hi i have a problem about usb-storage (HP 8230e USB cdrw ) with the packet-cd (a patch file like the DirectCD on the linux , the packet-cd patch file come from the Axboe http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/axboe/packet/, but modify by the Peter Osterlund http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/patches/ , i use the 0.0.2o-pre1 , the kernel version is 2.4.11-pre2 ) , i try the packet-write on the cdrw , the acer 4406EU usb cdrw can work on the linux with the packet-cd , but the HP 8230e can't work , i can pktsetup and mount the cdrw , but it halt when i copy a file or make a directory , the system halted , i open another consol and see the message , i can the something like ... . . . usb-storage:usbat_raw_bulk():out pipe stalled usb-storage:redoing read usb-storage:EPIPE:clearing endpoint halt for pipe 0xc0010280 , stalled at 0 bytes . . . usb-storage:Bummer！ Reading bulk data 20 time failed usb-storage:-- transport indicates command failure usb-storage:Issuing auto - REQUEST-SENSE usb-storage:status = D0 usb-storage:Transferred out 14 of 14 bytes . . , is it a bug for the usb-storage ? or any one can use the HP 8230e with the packet-cd ? thanks
