cdn.o.o provides bad mirror to SE USA

Originally I sent the following to mirrors(a)lists.opensuse.org, but I'm now getting messages directly from various mirrors (kernel.org & tenet.ac.za so far) as a consequence. I don't know how to tell which one is the problem, but I did a TW zypper ref using baseurl=http://cdn.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss instead of baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss and the proposal included openSUSE-release 20240223 instead of 20240225. Switching repo file to the latter and another ref got me 20240225. This was not the first time cdn was feeding me oldies. I'm in FL and often find European mirrors are better performers e.g. for fetching .isos but not infrequently noticing sluggishness during ups & dups with both Leap and TW/Slowroll. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. New Github Actions at "openSUSE/salt" repository

Hi there, this is just a friendly notification to inform you that we have enabled a couple of new GitHub actions workflows at "openSUSE/salt" repository. We have currently 8 workflows running on each new Pull Request (a few more workflows may come soon), but we don't usually have too many incoming PRs, so you should not expect too much resources eaten by this repo. As we know the resources for openSUSE Github account may be limited, this is just for you to be aware that we are making use of some of these resources. I hope we are not close to reach the limits! ISP maintenance in Prague

Hi, SUSE will conduct a scheduled outage on 23/02/2024, starting at 23:00 CET, lasting approximately one hour. During this time, all openSUSE services hosted in Prague might briefly not be reachable over IPv4, while failover to a secondary internet service provider occur. Connectivity over IPv6 is not affected. Georg

We are getting spam via HyperKitty

Hi, We are getting spam through. They are gmail addresses entering via HyperKitty (3 today). Example attached, on factory(a)lists.opensuse.org I suggest to remove the web interface on HyperKitty, or remove the permit to identify via gmail, or put it under moderation (I did the later on the users-es(a)lists.opensuse.org mail list).
