does anyone know what the ipv6 range 2620:113:8044::/48 is being used
for?
It is listed in our spf record, but do we have machines in the range
that send emails from opensuse.org ? (to the world).

Actually, a FWD. It was sent to users@ list.
All,
Since my crappy ISP started blocking mail from opensuse to my
suddenlinkmail.com account I have had to switch my account to gmail. The problem
is I never see the mails I send, not my original post or my replies to the list.
Anybody else using gmail know how to fix this? I also can't use the hyperkitty
mail interface because my account still has the suddenlinkmail.com address as my
e-mail and when I attempt login, it "sends a verification e-mail..." to my
suddenlink address which of course bounces and I never get it.
Suggestions?

Dear Heroes,
I got a potential mirror sponsor from Réunion island.
Before setting up the server though, we would like to know if there is
some data regarding traffic from the island? Is that possible?

Hello,
here are the meeting minutes from today's meeting:
2022-05-05 heroes meeting
* first meeting on Thu: 4 participants and little complaints on ML
* SPF entry for opensuse.org changed from ~all to +all to hopefully
prevent mails from Members (with From: $name(a)o.o) from being rejected
by gmail (poo#109025)
* en.o.o has new MediaWiki version; other wikis break and need more
investigation; galera was slow with migration scripts because of huge
updates
* mailman3 python is very slow - could use a profiler to locate the
slowest functions
* cboltz will give talk "still not superheroes" as follow-up on previous
"heroes, not superheroes" at oSC
* several status updates from Per on the ML, see
https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/heroes@lists.opensuse.org/
message/CDNADZAHK635KQS7RLYRV7YC3VMUPJGA/
Note: the next meeting date would be on the first day of oSC. We'll see
if enough of us meet there, or if we'll have a video meeting a week
later.
Regards,
Christian Boltz

Hello,
the next heroes meeting will be on Thursday (2022-05-05) at 18:00 UTC /
20:00 CEST.
As discussed, this meeting will be on Thursday - I know that this day
isn't perfect, it seems to be better than Tuesday. (We can discuss in
the meeting if we want to stay with Thursday.)
See https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/110500 for the (so far "usual")
topics, and feel free to add whatever you want to discuss.
Regards,
Christian Boltz

Somebody had told him that I had tried tis before, so he asked me what I
would do. I said "I'd jump right out of the window to be put out of that
misery"

I guess, you would need to rsync
rsync://stage.opensuse.org/opensuse-full-really-everything-including-reposi…
into the right place (or tweak the symlink)
However most of the time, that repo is empty, because 99+% of Tumbleweed
updates go through the main repo.
So we do not need many mirrors of it because download.o.o can handle the
little traffic itself.
Do you think, it is worth the effort to shift it on stage.o.o to be
available in the factory module with relative symlinks that just work?
Ciao

Dear Heroes,
I am re-sending this request here. I cc'ed the Heroes ML on the e-mail
below but it got rejected since I was not subscribed on this address.
Would be great is someone could help me understand this part about
setting up the Tumbleweed mirror?

Subject: How to setup tumbleweed mirror?

Hi folks,
I noticed that when syncing the opensuse-full-with-factory rsync modules
from stage.opensuse.org, the "update" directory contains the following
symlinks.
update/tumbleweed ->
/srv/ftp/pub/opensuse/repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/Update/standard
update/tumbleweed-non-oss -> tumbleweed
The path
/srv/ftp/pub/opensuse/repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/Update/standard
does not exist on the system and therefore update/tumbleweed becomes
unavailable in the mirror.
I checked a few mirrors and the path returns 404 although the tumbleweed
directory appears under "update". See:
https://opensuse.mirror.ac.za/update/tumbleweedhttp://ftp.rz.uni-wuerzburg.de/linux/opensuse/update/tumbleweed-non-osshttp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/opensuse/update/tumbleweed
However, the update/tumbleweed path is fine on some mirrors, especially
those managed by openSUSE Heroes.
Can you some please advise how to do the sync correctly, so as to have a
Tumbleweed mirror including update/tumbleweed?
Regards,
Ish Sookun
