Hello, the next heroes meeting will be on Thursday (2022-05-05) at 18:00 UTC / 20:00 CEST. As discussed, this meeting will be on Thursday - I know that this day isn't perfect, it seems to be better than Tuesday. (We can discuss in the meeting if we want to stay with Thursday.) See https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/110500 for the (so far "usual") topics, and feel free to add whatever you want to discuss. Regards, Christian Boltz -- Somebody had told him that I had tried tis before, so he asked me what I would do. I said "I'd jump right out of the window to be put out of that misery" [Stefan Hundhammer in yast-devel]

Provided my camera works after so many months of idleness, I will be attending - in about 30mins :-) I doubt if we need to go over this in detail, so just some trivia: * new mirrors - US, Turkey, Mauritius(!) One of our users in Turkey got annoyed with the slow download speed. When I explained there was little I could do, he decided to do something himself. Within a week, we had a new mirror, improved access speed on the existing one and a new third potential mirror. I don't know if he is listening in here, but we ought to send him a t-shirt or something. Same goes for Ish in Mauritius! * some mirrors have gone inactive - just needs to be investigated. Might be useful to have some automatic monitoring/alerting of this. * creating new mirrors - we have some issue with getting region/country/continent assigned properly. It is easy to fix or override, but there has to be some underlying reason. * mailing lists - only-by-members. Nothing happened since last time. * pagure.o.o - poo#108215, some feedback appreciated. * poo#104328 - has dropped down to 1 IP-address per day. Weird but good. * DMARC etc - where is the business case? poo#109025 * mailman3 in general - we seem to have a few too many open issues. Personally, I won't touch this stuff with a barge pole. Overall, upstream is responsive (on the mailing list), but if you don't speak that Pyathoing ... -- Per Jessen, Zürich (12.4°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes

Totally unrelated, I noticed today that my image is mirror reversed, so that if I show something written to camera (like the label of my penguin), it is reversed and can not be read. I do not see anything in the configuration of meet to change this. Do you have the same issue, or is it only me? Oh, I found the toggle. In the vertical 3 dots menu of the small image of myself, not the big one. It is called "flip". -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.3 x86_64 at Telcontar)
