[heroes] Failing cron job on boosters VM

Hi, It seems I lost access to the boosters VM (which is fine, I'm happy if someone else is doing stuff there). However, since a few days one of the cron job running there (the one that calls $HOME/bin/update-mail-reminder) is failing and spamming me. It's failing because of https://githubengineering.com/crypto-removal-notice/ Can somehow fix that? [heroes] pontifex3 (the old VM) going down

Hello, I'd like to let anyone know here that the old pontifex3 VM is going down today. I am pretty sure (and darix confirmed) that it shouldn't be used any more, but just to be safe I'll keep the storage around for a month. If we see no issues then, I'll take a backup and destroy it. When not already logged in on the forums or elsewhere on opensuse.org, all of the links in recent forum update email notices that start "Reply to thread" generate the following: [quote] Corrupted Content Error The site at https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/529482-tumbleweed-32bit-no-mozil… has experienced a network protocol violation that cannot be repaired. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. [/quote] Since it seems the main purpose of microfocus.com is to get people logged out of bugzilla.opensuse.org, forums.opensuse.org, connect.opensuse.org, en.opensuse.org and others as quickly as possible, these links more often fail than succeed. Can something be done to either stop the incessant logging out, or change the email links or what they link to to something that always works? Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, hiermit bewerben wir uns als Teil von "openSUSE" mit unserem Team "openSUSE Heroes" für den Thomas-Krenn-Award. Die "openSUSE Heroes" sind ein Team von Systemadministratoren (SysAdmins) die dem openSUSE-Projekt in ihrer Freizeit beim Aufbau, Betrieb und Debugging der Infrastruktur helfen. D.h. wir kümmern uns darum, dass die Webservices online sind und betreiben die VMs und die Netzwerkinfrastruktur, die notwendig sind, um viele der unter der Domain .opensuse.org verfügbaren Dienste zu betreiben. Nähere Infos zu mir finden Sie hier [2], der Fairness halber, da ich die Jury gesehen habe, erwähne ich gleich, dass ich auch für die SUSE Linux GmbH arbeite, jedoch für openSUSE hauptsächlich in meiner Freizeit aktiv bin und meine berufliche Tätigkeit hauptsächlich die Arbeit an der internen SUSE-Infrastruktur ist. Meine Kollegen und ich stellen u.a. die Virtualisierungshost, die Basis-Netzwerkdienste sowie Storage für das openSUSE-Projekt, sozusagen als "Infrastructure as a Service", kostenlos bereit. Um zumindest einen dedizierten Host für das Monitoring der Infrastrukturdienste mit Icinga und MRTG zu haben, würden wir diesen kleinen 1-HE-Server dazu nutzen die essentiellen Dienste zu überwachen und uns im Notfall über einen Ausfall zu informieren.
