Hello,
[cross-post - please reply only on one of the mailinglists]
Those who visited the Heroes talk at the openSUSE Conference already
know - there is visible progress on the wiki update and I have a *test*
wiki running :-)
So, what's new? The highlights are:
- updated MediaWiki to 1.27.x (LTS release) and all extensions
- now running on a VM in Nuremberg
- including files directly from github
- better search (elasticsearch) - now searching all namespaces, but with
different weight
- login is now done using openID - but still with your openSUSE login
- namespace-specific boilerplates (page templates) when creating new
pages
- switched extension for RSS feed integration - this will need
adjustments on the pages that include RSS feeds
- watching a category (when pages get added to or removed from it) is
now part of MediaWiki core
- Hermes notification was dropped (was broken anyway, and MediaWiki's own
notifications work much better)
There's also something that isn't too new - the database dump I used to
setup the test wiki ;-) It's from last August, so please don't worry
about the outdated content ;-)
That all said - the test wiki is available for testing at
https://en-test.opensuse.org/
Please check if everything still works, play with it, test the new
features, ...! It is a test instance, so nobody will complain if you do
test edits that don't make sense content-wise ;-)
At the same time, remember that it is a test instance, so any changes
you do will be lost when I re-import the database dump for whatever
reason.
If you notice any issues, please report them - either in one of the
mailinglists (opensuse-wiki preferred) or send a mail to
admin(a)opensuse.org
If you enjoyed testing the new wiki, please also take some time to go to
our current wiki (en.opensuse.org or $LANG.opensuse.org) - there are
lots of pages that need an update ;-)
And finally - thanks to everybody who helped me to get everything in
shape!
I still have to do some work "under the hood". That shouldn't cause any
problem with testing, but it means that I won't do the production wiki
move and update in a few days ;-)
Regards,
Christian Boltz
PS: oSC visitors may wonder why it's en-test.o.o instead of en.test.o.o
now. That name change is caused by a funny problem with our SSL
certificate - *.opensuse.org doesn't match something with an
additional dot, and en.test.o.o had such a dot ;-)

All,
I'm sorry I wasn't able to meet up with everyone at OSC17, I just
couldn't get it organised, prior obligations etc.
Instead, I fiddled a bit with the mailing list archiving yesterday. A
while ago I fixed the mixed http/https content problem, except I forgot
to fix the archive index script (for all future lists). :-(
About the "Statistics" on the archiving page - this seems to be
something that was played with a few years back. It wasn't done for all
lists, and it stopped working in June 2015. I just added a conditional
so people wouldn't get 404's when trying to access non-existent
statistics.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

There seems to be no way to change someone else's attachment's type from
text/x-log or application/x-trash to text/plain for Xorg.0.log or
Xorg.0.log.old. Can this be fixed to these two filenames default to the correct
type, and/or authority be given for anyone logged in to change them?

Hi
$ubject is down - as it seems - since yesterday evening.
I re-added
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/infrastructure:/softwar…
and run "zypper up" now.
But I still get:

App 29270 stderr: WARN: Unresolved specs during

Hi,
try it with a "gem cleanup {gem name}" or "bundle clean --force".

rsync.opensuse.org has had no IPv6 address since 20 April:
https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/18716
I am assuming it got lost in the DNS update/move/change ?

It looks like the status.opensuse.org RSS feed doesn't deliver what you
expect ;-)
The problem is that the RSS feed includes only incidents, but not
updates to those incidents - and the "fixed" info of course was an update
to the incident. (Also, the RSS feed won't give you any information if a
component status gets changed without creating an incident.)
I agree that it would make sense to deliver the incident updates in the
RSS feed, so your feature request is perfectly valid.
As a workaround, we could create a new incident instead of adding a
"fixed now" update to the existing one, but this doesn't feel right.
I checked the Cachet documentation and the web interface and didn't see
any option to include incident updates in the RSS feed.
@Lars: Did I overlook something? If not, I'll open a feature request at
https://github.com/CachetHQ/Cachet/issues/
In the meantime, I can recommend to subscribe to the mail notifications.
You'll get notified about _all_ updates ;-)

Christian Boltz

Admins think it's OK because they go by this:
https://status.opensuse.org/
I was having trouble connecting 10 hours ago, and get "waiting for..." that URI now.
These don't load either:
