As you might have seen it on https://status.opensuse.org/ : the (synapse-)matrix service on matrix.o.o is currently down by intention.
As the service configuration - and probably the whole setup - differs in comparison to the package containing the latest (security) fixes, we decided to turn the service off instead of risking anything. Now we're waiting for someone (you?) to update the service...
Dear admins: please keep your services up-to date and secure all the time. We are already trying our best to keep the underlying OS up to date for you. But that does not help, if the admins of the services are not doing their job.
Our current infrastructure policy[1] hasn't changed since 2020. So there shouldn't be anything new in it for our admins. -> please follow the rules.
Regards,
Lars

Thanks for reacting so quickly!

That might be indeed another reason why the scanner yelled...
But sorry, why is the machine still logging so much?
Debug logs on a productive machine do not only have the side effect to fill up the space, they also slow down and might even be GDPR relevant, if they log too much (haven't checked that, tho).

Hi Heroes,
You might be aware or even provided some feedback to the proposal we
were working on about software.o.o. We had a workshop this past Friday
and in the workshop, an action item was brought up to contact you all
about how you envision any involvement an enhanced software.o.o.. I've
attached a link to notes from our workshop and an update of the
proposal.
Would you all want access to the deployment? Knowing this could assist
with what the technical solution will be should we get resources to move
forward with this project. Please let me know so I can update the
proposal.

Just a heads-up - these were generally being held back by
mailman, "implicit destination". I don't know if anyone is actually
interested, but I'm letting them through, also some older ones. Adjust
your sieve filters :-)

Hello,
here are the minutes of today's heroes meeting:
Jitsi:
* packaging is broken
* that also makes debugging etc. harder because we'd need debug builds
* javascript+java (npm+mvn) make handling hard (> 2000 dependencies,
packaging automation needed)
* salt help needed - rewrite pending by Lars?
* Move Grafana Dashboard to Public Instance metrics.o.o
Status report - Pagure:
* Pagure (code.o.o) updated to Leap 15.3
* hit permissions problems
* upstream update incoming
* ssh port access needs fixing again -> AI Bernhard .144:22
* need to add https to code.o.o with letsencrypt cert
matrix-IRC-bridge has trouble
There are lots of status reports in the meeting ticket
https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/101848 and

We even got bug reports about the minimal pattern requiring a kernel

Vermutlich wird noch heute über Suizide namhafter Kabarettisten
berichtet. Ihr Leben dürfte ab sofort überhaupt keinen Sinn mehr haben.
Nur Zeitung lesen ist einfach witziger.
