Hi all,
as I get (as one of the org admins) several security alerts (repeatedly)
from GitHub were dependencies are old/outdated and a severe problem for
some openSUSE projects (like e.g. OSEM, TSP or searchPage) which affects
quite a number of openSUSE users.
Unfortunately, this needs to be enabled PER REPO that non-org-admins can
see those alerts.
As I find it very important, that you security guys can see this
[Robert, Johannes and Marcus - nospecificorderhere :)] I will take the
…
[View More]responsibility as openSUSE hero and add you to these repos security
alerts with your mail adress, as soon as I get the report. As we have
more than 400 repos, I can't do this for all repos as there is no API by
GitHub to do this right now.
See here:
https://github.community/t5/GitHub-API-Development-and/Security-vulnerabili…
Also I will try to forward you the security reports as soon as they
enter my Inbox.
Best regards,
Thorsten

Sorry about missing the meeting last night - I was triple booked.
I don't have that much to contribute -
a) I have been (on and off) working on migrating forums.o.o to
Nuernberg. At first not for the forums, but to re-establish the nntp
service. It was however suggested to me it might be easier to just
move the whole lot. I already have a copy of the vBulletin side (thank
you Kim), I am waiting for a copy of the database.
b) mailing lists. One change is on-going - I am considering …
[View More]introducing
a mailmaxsize for all lists. I don't mind one attachment, a screenshot
etc, but I don't want a whole bunch. Setting a max mail size of 100K
seems reasonable, and it works too (unlike the attachment limit).
c) mirroring. Instead of running /home/mirror/bin/update_metalinks2 on
cron, back in July I switched to just running it continually. It takes
much too long though. Really, really long. I think there must be a
database access issue, but I have not had time to look at it.
