[opensuse-xfce] Whisker menu

Hello. I've updated the Whisker menu plugin (minor, 2.3.2 -> 2.3.3). And I lost YaST items in "Настройки" (Settings ?). There were "YaST" and "YaST Software" in the menu before. Is this somehow related to the update? Attached and https://susepaste.org/view/simple/10076427 -- WBR Kyrill

Hello all, now that xfce 4.14 is well on its way to Factory I wanted to put together a summary of things left to do: 1) Finish the plugin renaming: Once the renamed plugins land in Factory delete requests to the old packages need to be made and after they have been deleted from Factory deleted from X11:xfce as well 2) Remove Leap 42.3 repo 3) Remove old and abandoned packages Discontinued by xfce upstream: gtk-xfce-engine, xfce4-icon-theme, xfwm4-themes, thunar-vfs, squeeze Other abandoned packages: xfce4-netspeed-plugin, gtk2-theme-nimbus, gtk2-theme-murrine Please let me know if you have any concerns or I missed anything. -- Marcel Kühlhorn Have a lot of fun!

[opensuse-xfce] Xfce 4.14 Has Landed in Tumbleweed!

Ahoy fellow geekos! We're proud to announce that the long awaited Xfce 4.14 has been released for Tumbleweed. After a long development cycle (4 years!) all of the core components and applications have been ported to GTK 3. Among the main new features and improvements, the xfwm4 window manager has finally gained support for VSync, HiDPI, hardware GLX and various compositor improvements. You can check out the neat new features in the official Xfce 4.14 tour [1] and the official release announcement [2]. For openSUSE, we continued to polish the default experience by adding new packages that complete the desktop and make it more approachable to new users. - Changed: Greybird Geeko is now the default GTK theme with particular thanks to Carson Black [3] - Changed: xfce4-screensaver is now the default screenlocker, replacing xscreensaver - Added: xfce4-panel-profiles, a tool to back up and restore your panel layout configuration as well as layout presets - Added: mugshot, a tool to easily input personal information and a user avatar, integrated into the Whisker Menu - Added: lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings, a tool to easily configure lightdm - Added: gnome-disk-utility, a disk management tool that allows you to mount ISO files For a quick overview, please check out the screenshots [4]. Hi there, I used to bind Ctrl-Alt-Del to run the command: qdbus org.xfce.SessionManager /org/xfce/SessionManager Logout 1 true which will pop up the dialog asking what to do: Logout Reboot Shutdown ... This doesn't work anymore on xfce-4.14 dup'ed from X11:xfce/openSUSE_Leap_15.0 Running this from a terminal prompt, I see the following: qdbus org.xfce.SessionManager /org/xfce/SessionManager Logout 1 true Error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod Keine derartige Schnittstelle »(null)« des Objekts im Pfad /org/xfce/SessionManager Looking at the interface definition of /org/xfce/SessionManager using qdbusviewer however shows that there still exists a method "Logout". Should this work? Or how can I achieve this differently? TIA, cheers. l8er manfred
