[opensuse-xfce] Broken xfce login with new Xorg libraries

Hi all, If using the latest Xorg packages from the OpenSuSE Xorg repo you will find that you cannot login in xfce (nor gnome i think). The problem is that libxcb-aux.so.0 has been renamed (or moved to) libxcb-utils.so.0, and it is a dependency of libstartup-notification-1-0. Despite that the latest builds of xorg-x11-libs provide a libxcb-aux.so.0 (it dissapeared but its back), my solution was to remove libxcb-aux.so.0 and to make symlink to libxcb-util.so.0 with its name. Otherwise xfce won't boot (and won't say why). Of course, this is a solution that might break 'who knows what' in Xorg, so if anyone else has a better idea let me know. [opensuse-xfce] desktop widgets / screenlets xfce 4.8.x

Does anyone know of a good application that will allow the running of widgets, screenlets on xfce 4.8.x I've downloaded and trying screenlets is there anything similar that might be a bit more up to date ? [opensuse-xfce] xinerama?

Hi, Finally managed to convince myself that I needed two monitors. Now with two wonderful 23" displays sitting on my desk, I have one problem. The display behaves as if they are mirrors of each other. Now I am not certain if this is a configuration in X11 or in the Desktop Environment. I have an Nvidia card, but am not running the proprietary driver, i.e. using nouveau. Before I run off installing the proprietary driver and setup utility (and I guess this tells me that it's really an X11 setting?) I am hoping that someone can tell me how to get things working, i.e. displays behave independently, without the proprietary Nvidia driver. Help is as always appreciated. Monday 19 December 2011 Hello. May we maintain third-party packages in X11:xfce repo? I've packaged Pragha music player[1] in home:Lazy_Kent:testing[2] repo. Pragha is suggested as default player for Xfce[3]. It depends on libglyr and libclastfm, that are packaged too. Now I'm in state of testing version 1.0rc3 and working at Russian translation. If we are interested in, I will submit the packages to X11:xfce.
