[opensuse-es] Phoronix Test Suite no funciona.

Instalé el Phoronix Test Suite en mi portatil (OS 11.3) y en una PC de escritorio (OS11.2). En la portatil no funciona, sucede lo siguiente: phoronix-test-suite gui Fatal error: Class 'GtkWindow' not found in /usr/share/phoronix-test-suite/pts-core/objects/gtk/pts_gtk_window.php on line 24 En cambio en la de escritorio funciona perfectamente. Estuve investigando un poco y encontré que debe estar instalado el paquete php5-gtk. En efecto en mi portatil no estaba instalado, pero luego de instalarlo sigue dándome el mismo error. Sigo investigando pero no doy con la solución. Ideas??? Saludos y gracias. The idea of an "openSUSE LTS" and/or "openSLES" aren't new indeed, and I suppose that most can remember the discussions around it some time ago. And from here on, by "LTS", I (and Wolfgang) mean "longer than 18 months" ;) There are basically two options on how to achieve that, from a technical perspective: 1) an LTS based on openSUSE 2) a rebranded SLES With "openSUSE LTS", the idea is, as Wolfgang already explained in his blog post, to pick up an openSUSE release when Novell (and the community) stops supporting it, when it goes EOL, which is after 18 months as of now. The effort can be a bit daunting, as it means keeping track of security vulnerabilities, backport fixes for those, or possibly upgrade to a newer version when backporting is too much work (e.g. Firefox). That's pretty much what is being done by the SUSE Security team and us (the community) during the lifetime of a release. But for longer and, hence, it is also more work (the older the packages, the more work it is to backport). The infrastructure provided on build.opensuse.org would certainly come in very handy. Especially when it'll have patch support :) "openSLES" is a totally different beast, as it means using the source packages of a SLES release and rebrand them. The obvious advantage is that it would most presumably be less work, as the hard work will already have been done by the Security team and the staff at Novell that does the SLES maintenance. But it would also be a rogue project: Novell cannot legally prevent anyone from doing just that as, albeit you do need a subscription to have access to them, the updates are also available as source packages. Nevertheless, it is not something Novell would like to see happening as they (or at least a few people I've talked to about it) believe it could be hurting their SLES business. While I don't personally share that opinion, and before 100 people comment negatively on this, it is a *fact* that no one can give any assurance or hard proof that it will not hurt the SLES business. Yes, we all know about CentOS, and a few know a few things about CentOS and Redhat I won't be citing in public (but let's say that some people who might or might not be working for Redhat have or haven't said that they believe that CentOS is effectively helping them spreading RHEL, but only off the record. or not.). But there are no hard facts or numbers to give any proof or guarantee that it would be the same with an "openSLES". And, personally, the last thing I'd want is people from Novell/SUSE losing their job because of that. Furthermore, Novell would clearly not be supportive of such a move, and it's not sure whether we would be able to use resources such as build.o.o for it. Long story short, I personally believe that the only viable option is "openSUSE LTS", but it does bring some technical challenges which require a certain number of committed contributors working on the maintenance. I really concur with Wolfgang's idea/proposal to start off with a server-oriented subset/core of openSUSE and try to keep that maintained for half a year or more, and learn from that experience to see whether we can realistically take on doing that for a longer period of time. por si a alguien mas le interesa Configuración de un proxy casero protector (especial para niños) Software para limitar el acceso a Internet independiente del navegador que se utilice, la idea es filtrar el contenido de Internet utilizando dansguardian, este es un excelente filtro de Internet, (aunque el mejor filtro es un padre que esta pendiente de sus hijos). Por que es importante esta configuración, solo se dispone de un equipo que realizar las tareas de computo del hogar.. y ademas solo tiene Linux Suposiciones mínimas.. se "supone" que sabes instalar paquetes.. sea vía yast, smart, apt o rpm pelao y raspao se "supone" que sabes usar un editor, pico nano, emacs, vi, kate, etc Que se necesita: 1. Dansguardian lo encuentra en el repositorio "grande" de openSUSE http://software.opensuse.org en buscar escribes dansguardian das click en 1 clic install y sigues los pasos de instalación normal 2. squid: Viene de "serie" con la distribución hay que instalarlo o en http://software.opensuse.org y escribes en buscar squid y luego click en 1 clic install y sigues los pasos de instalacion normal 3. Firehol: Cortafuegos personal .. reemplaza al SuSEfirewall2 pagina: http://firehol.sourceforge.net/ instale el paquete rpm para red hat, al momento de escribir es firehol-1.256-rh7up.noarch.rpm despues de bajarlo como root ejecutas rpm -Uvh firehol-1.256-rh7up.noarch.rpm Configuración del software Instalado 1. Dansguardian: Como root edite el archivo /etc/dansguardian/dansguardian.conf la linea language = 'ukenglish' cámbiela por language = 'spanish' salve/grabe y eso es todo con dansguardian 2. Squid lo que aquí se escribe funciona con squid-2.6.STABLE5 y superiores, la forma de poner un proxy transparente cambio en squid si su versión de squid es anterior y lo que se escribe aquí no funciona. fácil.. busque un manual de proxy transparente en Internet.. hay un pocoton, todos muy buenos. ahora: Como root edite el archivo /etc/squid/squid.conf cambie la linea http_port 3128 por: http_port 127.0.0.1:3128 transparent Con esto es suficiente, pero si queremos mejorar el rendimiento de squid cambie: # cache_swap_low 90 # cache_swap_high 95 por cache_swap_low 80 cache_swap_high 100 cambie # cache_dir ufs /var/cache/squid 100 16 256 por cache_dir ufs /var/cache/squid 1000 16 256 y cambie # cache_store_log /var/log/squid/store.log por cache_store_log none salve/grabe y eso es todo 3. Acabo de instalar todo el Sistema Operativo de nuevo porque se me murió mi anterior disco duro de repente. El caso es que cuando me mandan algún archivo pps y le doy a abrir, este se ejecuta automáticamente como si le hubiera dado a la tecla F5. Recuerdo que antes yo abría los pps con un parámetro para que no me ocurriera esto, pero he estado mirando por San Google y no soy capaz de dar con ello. ¿Alguien se acuerda cual era el parámetro para que cuando abra un pps se me ejecute el impress en modo de poder editarlo? Hola NEcesito hacer una cosa en shell y por mas que miro no lo consigo a ver si me podeis ayudar. yo por comando hago. ls -l | awk '{print $9}' y eso me lista los nombres de ficheros de un dir. hay manera de meter eso en un "objeto" array o lo que fuera para luego sobre el hacer un for y por cada entrada hacer un tratamiento? me podeis ayudar?
