I don't think it makes sense to mirror everything. Many files are see so
little traffic that mirroring them costs way too much. And now I'm really
puzzled what your intention is - you strarted the thread with "remove all
mirrors" and now you want even more stuff noone downloads?

I clicked on all the North American HTTP links on http://mirrors.opensuse.org/
trying to find which mirrors zypper should be able to find.
http://fm.no-ip.com/SS/Suse/mirrorsNA20170727map.jpg shows a typical
best/preferred mirrors result from opening a .mirrorlist link. Lately all such
results have an Atlantic Ocean between them and my FL location near Tampa,
upwards of 6600km as the crow flies to the ENE. By contrast, Provo is less than
3000km away, and most other NA mirrors are closer, such as gatech.edu in Atlanta
less than 450km distant.
My depressing findings are color coded on:

I know that this does not require surgical precision, and it's more of a
'max' limit, but the size of rsync modules on stage.opensuse.org need a
review.

Hi,
Just a heads up. Leap 42.3 will be released next week, July 26th.
I don't expect a huge run for this minor release though.
